  7. actually mcquaid may now be available with the emergence of kevan miller, the bruins are so young n deep on their blueline...just sayin'
  8. @ban tsn love your photo, the cbc tsn bash....all toronto all the time and when their done all montreal all the time, the vancouver reports or coverage are like well an after thought or time filling....
  9. you mentioned that virtanen is " light years ahead of evander kane ", the kid has yet to play in the nhl ( can he take it to the next level like kane has ) to make an outrageous statement like that. i've seen far too many flops with credentials coming in to the bigs that were can't miss. but i have to admit i am tired of the canucks organization not drafting or positioning themselves to draft locals who have shined or shown nhl potential right under their noses, we'll see what transpires on draft day 2014.
  10. yannick's salary is $650.000 us dollars where as jason garrison collects $4.6 million, so if cap space is what you need you see the value in weber....
  11. i'm no fan of garrison so by comparison in dollar value/point production with yannick weber, weber wins in my books. yannick has five goals in fourty five games to garrison's seven goals in seventy-seven games, though garrison blows him away in over all point production with power play time, more ice time and over all gamesplayed, weber has good value though neither an upgrade or a step back, but that's not my point. you mention that booth has been great, but let's face it, he's done, stick a fork in him, he's finished here! garrison stays.
  12. a nice match up for nhl fans, two coaches being the center piece...go canucks!
  13. sooooo looking forward to this great rivalry!!!! http://forum.canucks.com/gallery/image/3162-/ http://forum.canucks.com/gallery/image/3123-/
  14. well when you mark up season tickets by 5% ya gotta know there were gonna be changes, for marketing purposes to justify their increase they need a new poster boy to advertise, ya know kinda like the saviour himself is here now, everything is fresh and exciting once again in canuck-ville with this new face(s)... the coach always goes before a failing gm, seen it many times in many pro sports organizations. with the luongo deal and maybe another florida trade lol, the canucks will have some new faces to advertise and market so the gullible canuck fans will forget everything that has gone wrong for 2 seasons and $pend-$pend -$pend ( sports apparrel and tickets ) with dreams of glory again for vancouver. gillis has failed: dealing tough guy shayne o'brien was dumb, signing demitra ( rip ) was nothing without gaborik, shaeffer-yes steve shaeffer, marco sturm?, booth, ballard, roy and kassian. what gillis failed to do was land a tough guy like milan lucic or chris neil or a david clarkson, he decided on kassian ( a good choice ) but it didn't address our immediate needs, why did the owner extend gillis contract is beyond me and my east end bro acquilini gets what he deserves.... a fight to make the playoffs next season!
  15. pavel bure, every time he touched the puck the fans would lean forward in their seats or rise to their feet at the ole coliseum, electrifying!
  16. well the next best thing to not making it to the next round is....neither is chicago. how i would of love to see us two match up again http://youtu.be/fNtBOWZHfJw
  17. i like conspiracies too, but ballard's contract was hard to move and we lost ehrhoff, hodgson according to reports and justifiably asked to be moved, he was more deserving for more ice time but our top 2 centers are a fix in any lineup in the nhl. the conspiracy theory i like to throw around are the fiancially plagued, leauge owned coyotes, we ( the fans ) pay their salaries, in post season all the money goes to the current ownership group ( you and i ) the nhl. by making them go an extra round or more, they recover leauge finacial losses and at the same time enhance the value either in phoenix or abroad... what d'ya think about that ?
