    It hurts nucks fans.

I think what is hurting the Canucks fans the most is there never seems to be a clearly defined plan that we can get behind.  Management always seems to be rudderless. This we'll see what happens approach we always have is getting pretty old.  If we are rebuilding then lets rebuild, if we are going for it lets make the tough decisions and go for it.  I'm tired of the lets just try and make the playoffs mentality.

JRhas talked to our owner.  He’s stated more than once he doesn’t want his owner paying for 3 head coaches at the same time.  He’s also following the owner’s direction to not take any steps back.  All moves made so far, since JR has been here, reflect that direction, even though JR has stated we needed to take a step or two back when he first got here.

Like I said you tell him your going to quit, FA does not want the nightmare of his newly hired President quitting on him because he can't stop meddling.

JR isn’t the boss; the owner is.

Well then you still do the same thing IMO, then you have a meeting with the owner to say either you let me do my job properly or I quite.  You might get a short term bump from pissing your employees off, but when that wears off, it will just create more disharmony.  People will always work harder for someone they know has their backs.

You can be mad at JR for saying it.....but he's not wrong so I don't know what everyone is mad about. The same people would be on here complaining if he didn't say anything too I would bet. I would rather have a President that speaks up and tries to light a fire when the team is playing like garage.

Don't be mad at the President, be mad at the players or be mad at ownership for not allowing a proper rebuild for a team that hasn't really been competitive since 2011 or ever had a proper rebuild because playoff revenue is more important that a championship caliber team.  They are the one's underperforming and playing sloppy, terrible hockey. There are good players on that ice. The player's love Boudreau, he's a players coach....let's hold them accountable.....not blame a President who's been here less than a year.

Well I'm annoyed at JR not because he criticized the Coach or players, although a good leader would do that behind closed doors, what annoys me is he didn't take any responsibility, nor did he criticize he's management group.  He instead made excuses for there failures.  If your the Boss you always need to take the first hit, if he had done that I think everyone would have agreed with what he was saying.  A boss that throws his employees under the bus while making excuses for his failings is a loser in my books and someone no one should respect.

I think he was very much willing to wheel and deal since he got in.
I also think he wasn’t getting value offers for his players.
Didn’t want to loose assets for nothing and Brock’s counting stats look better than the eye test. So had to retain and the way his QO was structured he was getting paid. Good to get him down to where he is and once playing again, if can start to score could have value especially if retention is a tool we are open to use (I don’t think they will accept retention because they are going to try to short circuit a rebuild).

JTM, I think the offers just weren’t great and he accepted security and control over absolute dollars.  Not the path I preferred giving him a big long deal but still is possibly tradeable at deadline to team with right situation.  By NHL terms the JTM contract is very fair, just don’t think this team is in the right spot for it but better than losing asset for nothing. A trade may emerg at some point this year.
‘I think pretty much every other vet was up for auction since JR got here, as he pointed out they just don’t have much value. This is a squad put together by a horrible GM who put a lot of I’ll fitting pieces and payed for bad contracts and little in the prospect pipeline. Going to take a while to dig out from that but what concerns me is what Burke said, JR is not patient and neither I think is ownership.
‘I expect a wild period of I’ll-advised moves coming up if we keep losing and going just better 0-5 on this road trip seems like a more likely outcome than 3-1-1 or 3-2.

I agree I think he is willing to wheel and deal, the problem I see is that he fails to see when the best deal is in front of him and pull the trigger.  He is instead taking the safe route  and just doing nothing which has lead to this mess.

all its going to take is the best 4-5 series of trades in Canucks history to fix.

The problem is every time they have an opportunity make changes they seem to double down and make it even harder to make changes.  They aren't doing what I had expected them to do, based on what they all said when they got here.  To me it seems like they did a complete 180 and just kept rolling.

If not the truth what do you expect to hear?

It is why I don't listen to interviews anymore during a game (I'll read about anything important later or on here)

They are all programmed with generic responses

I ran a business for years and when things went wrong I took it on the chin,  I didn't make excuses for why things went wrong, I told the clients that I was going to fix it, and never ever did I throw one of my employees under the bus to try and take the heat off of me.  That's what I expect.  He should be coming on TV tell everyone that all of his people are working hard and that he is going to do everything in his power to right the ship, then do exactly that.  These excuses are complete BS, he knows it and anyone paying attention knows it.  He needs to get to work or if not that stop throwing people under the bus.  With all of Benning's faults I don't recall him ever blaming anyone else when things went wrong, he never through Green under the bus.

This is nothing new in sports.Food has always been a bid deal in general for any athlete.Being a diabetic I have seen many diets have taken from diets made for diabetics like counting calories instead we count carbs which has been around way longer.

Counting carbs is the way to go in my experience, our bodies don't need to consume them so the less we eat the better really as they cause a whole host of problems.  It's unfortunate that a lot of peoples diets consist mainly of carbs.

It's trying to be cute and "win" every trade; look like tough guys to Aqua. Just go out...lose a trade and get us the piece we need to not blow 2/3 goal leads every night.

That's the problem with these guys they are looking for the Grand slam trade, instead of a trade that will give both teams what they need.  I'm souring on these guys quickly which might seem unfair as I gave Benning a long leash, but to be fair, I was expecting us to suck for most of Bennings ten-year where as I'm now expecting this team to get better but we are just back to spinning our wheels again.  I've been watching this team for over 30 years and I think this is the most frustrated I've been with this team.  I expect peaks and valleys and can live with them but it's been so long since we had a peak it's hard to take, and really I don't need a peak to make me happy just some sense that the team is improving and heading towards one.
