hockeyville88
That dead spot in the Sharapova match was crazy It was almost swallowing the ball!
oh captain my captain
I had never seen anything like that dead spot before. It actually made me laugh. The Sharapova match turned out to be a pretty good one. Fed advanced easily, Rafa's had no trouble either. Hopefully these two will meet up in the final. hockeyville88
If Raonic was to compete in the Olympics I wonder if he'd represent Canada or Serbia which is where he's originally from??
oh captain my captain
There was a feature on him yesterday on TSN and if I remember correctly they said he would represent canada for any international event.

He said he wouldn't pull a "rusedski" and ditch Canada. Unless the Canadian management does something REALLY REALLY stupid, Raonic will play for Canada. hockeyville88
This cracked me up: MELBOURNE - World No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki apologized to media Sunday after making up a story that she had been attacked by a kangaroo during the Australian Open. Wozniacki, 20, called it a "blond moment" after she convincingly told journalists she was scratched by the native Australian animal during a visit to a wildlife park. "It looked so cute but once it started scratching me, I was a coward and I ran away," she said. Wozniacki, who later owned up that she had walked into a treadmill , had a bandaged right leg and gave details about the size of the animal and the treatment she received. She revealed on Twitter that the story was false, but not before it had appeared on news websites around the world and been broadcast on TV. Wozniacki then called another news conference to apologize. "I didn't think you would believe it because I thought it was a story (that) didn't sound right," she told a packed media room. "But actually I'm a good actress I think. Maybe I should ask for a part in a movie." The incident comes after Wozniacki's feisty press conference on Friday when she rattled off a string of answers to predictable questions, after hearing some journalists thought her media appearances were "boring." She said she wanted to set the record straight with journalists before her Tuesday quarterfinal at the Australian Open, where she is seeking her first Grand Slam victory. "I'm sorry if I caused an inconvenience. I really didn't mean to. I didn't think you would believe it because I already told the Danish press and they know," Wozniacki said. "I thought it was out there already. So I just wanted to apologize and that's why I'm here. I'm hoping that the press conferences in the future will still be funny. "I promise if I make a joke like this, I'll make sure to clarify it before I leave." Denguin
Is the round of 16 over? Haven't really been following closely this year. About half the mens RO16s are over. Raonic, the lone Canadian left, is set to play later tonight.

I don't know why but it always seems like the Australian Open and Wimbledon are the slowest while the French and US Open speed right by.
