The Toronto Maple Leafs have suspended Garret Sparks indefinitely for violating team policy after directing violent and sexist language toward a user in an online group.

Sparks is an admin of a goalie Facebook group and preceded to call out another member who was mocking a disabled person.

“I want to go to open hockey with you, drag you out to center ice and beat you into a [expletive] pulp until you can’t run that [expletive] little mouth of yours. God, you sound like a 13-year-old girl.”

When someone else called him out he responded,

“Girls don’t even whine as much as this guy does.”

Auston Matthews Penalty Watch:

In 364:19 in career NHL ice time, Matthews has spent 0 minutes in the penalty box.

What a soft, no try, un competitive Swede. Wait, he's from North America?

What an incredibly disciplined player, a true asset to his team, and a great mentor.

On Topic- well done Auston.

Arizona beat Edmonton today. What's odd about it, other than the obvious, is that Arizona continues a point streak against Edmonton that goes back years. Apparently, in their last 25 meetings, Arizona's record is 21-0-4. An NHL record for consecutive points streak against a specific opponent.

The old record (24 games) was Edmonton over the Canucks, but not sure when that was. Mid to late 80's, i'm guessing. I got this from sports radio today, but can't find where to corroborate it, so not 100% sure it's accurate.

At any rate, thanks to Arizona for getting us out of the books on that record. And Edmonton? Looks good on you.
