  1. A few days before. I guess that may be why this year was much bigger and more popular for sure.
  2. Heck no. The Canucks have made it clear this year that Markstrom is their guy. Last night was not his fault, the team collapsed. Furthermore, this is the last year of Markstrom's contract and because of that you want to work him HARD to see if he can handle it. It's sort of like owning a car and the warranty expires in a few days, so you run it hard, go over everything really good, etc. The last thing I want the Canucks to do is only play Marky 55 games and give him inflated well-rested stats so they can then overpay for him in the offseason. I would rather see them work him 65 games minimum and if he can still hold a 0.915 to 0.925 then we will talk.
  3. Well said. Pretty much what I came here to post. Anyone who uses this loss to "jump" on the Canucks, just keep in mind... every single great player or great team has been BLOWN out big time at some point. Doesn't matter if you are Mario Lemieux or Patrick Roy (letting in 9 goals). Point is... part of a players identity is losing games like this and learning a hard lesson. Heck, look at Ovechkin. Lets not forget how bad of a game he had and how his team was down 5-1. But Ovie has been there before, and because of that, he was able to help rally the team back from a 5-1 loss. That is experience. Notice how when they scored the 3rd goal our team became all shaky and nervous? The only way to fix that is EXPERIENCE. The players need to go through games like this in the regular season so when they find themselves in this same position in the future they can do what Washington did to us last night. The great thing about this lesson is we still got 1 point out of it. Travis Green secretly is probably pretty happy with last night because it brings his players egos down a check and now he can raise them back up.
  4. Rebuild is only finished when we have an elite defenseman and two elite forwards. Like, a calder trophy winner and a calder trophy runner up. ONLY THEN can be begin to play... oh wait.......... check, check, check lol
  5. 5-1 up in the 3rd = a guaranteed win 5-2 up in the 3rd = I am worried...........
  6. Diwali from my understanding is a 5 day celebration. I wonder how the Canucks can make sure they are always at home for this? If the league allows that etc. Otherwise it wouldn't really be the same, it needs to be a game on one of the actual 5 days.
  7. Will be interesting to see if they have overpriced the seats. If they don't end up selling out tickets that will look bad. They should have a sellout streak going from the start for at least 3 years or longer like Winnipeg and Vegas.
  8. Seriously? WOW. That is more than double what Canucks club tickets cost. Canucks club seating is $18,000 CDN per pair. At $31,000 US a pair, that is $41,000 CDN a pair. Imagine paying $500 a ticket for seats to a Tuesday game against Arizona. I guess they have to pay for that arena somehow. I don't see how people are going to pay those prices though. And a 3 year contract is required too. The prices of Seattle and Edmonton make me really appreciate that Rogers Arena (GM Place) was built in 94 and was privately funded. Fans never really had to foot the bill.
  9. LOL at all the Newell Brown trash talk. Then the Canucks score 2 PP goals. So funny.
  10. I agree. It is because the Canucks choose not to advertise "resale" tickets on the interactive map. Other teams do this, but Canucks opt out. They used to do it. That is the major source of advertising for TM+.
  11. Warning here to everyone and public service announcement. STUBHUB HAS JACKED UP THEIR PRICES big time. Earlier this year, they increased the sellers fees from 10% to 15% (or more). We knew that. But now they have jacked up the buyers fees too. Today, I did a comparison, and here is what it came to: Stubhub For every $100 I get, stubhub charges the buyer $144.92 Ticketmaster+ For every $100 I get, TM+ charges the buyer $127.50 Bottom line is, stubhub is now charging as much as 45% per sale and meanwhile TM+ is sticking with their original 27.5%. That is too big of a difference to ignore. No matter how you look at it that is $18 out of yours (or the buyers) pocket for every $100 sold. Even worse, stubhub requires much more manual time listing and selling tickets, while TM+ does it all for you. On top of that, Stubhub sales can result in errors which they will charge you back on your credit card. It is settled 100% for me - I will be selling exclusively on TM+ now and only using stubhub for very last minute sales. Anyone else selling tickets I encourage you to do the same because frankly this is ridiculous. BTW, they kept sales commissions at 10% for their "big sellers" and only jacked up the price to 15%+ for the little guys. No thanks. #boycottstubhub If you want to do a comparison yourself, go and checkout on stubhub and pretend like you are buying your tickets. Compare what the buyer pays (total) to the total payout you get.
  12. Canucks are 4-1 in their last 5 games.... including a win against the Stanley Cup champs (at their home!) and SOME people still seem unhappy lol.
  13. Pretty much this. People arent considering this was 3rd game in like 63 hour period. Its as close as you can get to 3 back to back games in a row.
  14. How come so much? Rest of their games are in the 30's and 40's. Even Saturday games. What's so special about a Detroit friday game?
  15. I think you might be right. It's always odd which games end up being in high demand. Last year Boston surprised me big time. I also suspect New Jersey on the 10th will be very popular. I wish I could get more tickets to LA Kings on 28th. I think that will be an awesome game.
  16. My rep is also leaving (she, not he). If you remember my rant earlier a few months ago about the revolving door of reps, it kind of just gets funny at this point lol. I think I've this makes like rep #6 or something. Who knows.
  17. Ticket prices already went up as soon as they announced this. So you're not alone.
  18. Well, ticketmaster has every single reason to make it as hard as possible for stubhub. So I wouldn't be surprised if they do this. Using interactive live QR codes doesn't affect anyone except those who buy on stubhub which is the goal of ticketmaster (to eliminate stubhub and score the secondary market themselves). So it looks like transfer is the best way to sell tickets, but unfortunately this allows the Canucks to know exactly how many games, and which games, you are selling and to who you are selling and that is a lot of information for them to get.
  19. Doesn't the barcode on the mobile ticket match the barcode on the physical tickets? If so then no way ticketmaster can use live generated barcodes because it would invalidate the hard copy tickets. Or is a new barcode generated if you try and use a mobile ticket?
  20. I think they usually send you a list of games to choose from and you can pick from that.
