    Not sure why this site is still here though.  Maybe they want the other site to fail and have everyone come back.  It probably doesn't cost them much to keep it going, so they'll probably just leave it up until it runs its course.  It will probably be shut down at some point, maybe next summer when nobody is paying attention...

    Nobody is paying attention already.  All the old-timers came back to say their goodbyes months ago.  Now it's just a sideshow - like 4chan or something

    I have zero background in this stuff, but clearly the back-end web of the new forum is a lot clunkier.  Without a muzzle on Stealth, I feel like he can be more open about the technical struggles.

    I don’t post all that often but I do check the boards almost daily and have for years. Having grown up in Southern California, I never had Canuck fans to bond with in person. This forum has been a great way for me to connect with people who love the team I love and share my passion for this team. I think it’s unfair for anyone to take that away from us. Now I live in Washington so I get to go to a few home games a year and be around fans more which is great but this still a such a great outlet for me and so many others. Really really sucks. 

    It won't be the same but the more we bring on board the longer this community survives.

    @-SN- I have to reiterate here - you're not advertising your new forum well enough.  Your comment here is pinned at the top of the topic, but they can't see that you've made a new forum unless they jump to the post.  That's because you've put it at the end of your post.  You are already losing members permanently because you haven't made the new forum very visible.

     

    You should be putting the new site at the beginning of the post so that everyone can see it.

    A lot of folks are seeing the closure notice, jumping into the thread and not noticing there's a new forum being set up.  Since this message definitely isn't being conveyed clearly enough...  Stealth has set up a new forum over at https://www.canucksfanforum.com/

     

    To those who have already joined, post in this topic to get some traffic going and make it trend.
