People keep mentioning Gudbranson, but I wouldn't be surprised if teams have been asking the most about Tanev. I guess I'm such a Tanev fan that I think he would be able to rescue Edmonton's season.

Tanev is a very important part of the Canucks future. I doubt he goes anywhere. He's basically our #1 d-man. There's not a lot of reason to move him. Canucks finally have a lot of worthy prospects. It would have to be an insane offer for the Canucks to consider moving him and I dont think the Oilers have the pieces to do it. That and if the Canucks were to move Tanev, they wouldnt move him to a divisional rival. Gudbranson, on the other hand, is an obvious piece to move because he's a UFA after next year and rumor has it that Florida is going to offer him a boatload of money to come back, so it'll be a matter of what Benning can get for him as a rental vs Benning overpaying Gudbranson to stick around. Honestly, with the emergence of Pouliot and d-prospects like Chatfield, McEneny, Juolevi, and Holm in the pipeline, it doesn't make a ton of sense to keep him around. If the Oilers were willing to depart with a 2nd or 3rd + a prospect for Gudbranson, I'd say the Canucks should run to the hills with that deal.
But yeah, I dont see Tanev in an Oilers jersey anytime soon.
