I'm pretty sure Calgary in 1989 and the Rangers in 1994 did it. Maybe the Avalanche in 1996 and the Stars in 1999. Perhaps the Avalanche in 2001 too? Just throwing some guesses out there.

Nice.

1. ?
2. Calgary Flames 1988-89
3. New York Rangers 1993-94
4. Dallas Stars 1998-99
5. Colorado Avalanche 2000-01
6. ?
7. ?

Detroit did it I'm sure. Either in '02 or '08, or both.

I'm sure the Oilers did it at least once in the 80's as well.

I know the oilers were the first team to do it in 86-87, and I believe the Red Wings won it twice in 01-02 and 07-08?

Correct, correct.

Final results:

1. Edmonton Oilers - 1986-87
2. Calgary Flames - 1988-89
3. New York Rangers - 1993-94
4. Dallas Stars - 1998-99
5. Colorado Avalanche - 2000-01
6. Detroit Red Wings - 2001-02
7. Detroit Red Wings - 2007-08

Next question? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

In 2007, the Canucks defeated the Stars in seven games in the Western Conference Quarterfinals. The final score of game seven was 4-1, in favour of the Canucks. Vancouver scored two empty net goals in that game.

Name the players that scored the empty net goals.

O dang, I wasn't as much of a fanatic back then :P. Umm, I feel like it will be some obscure players. Did we have Taylor Pyatt then? Maybe him?

Haha. What is the longest win streak in regular season history, by which team, and which season? I feel like this may be a bit easier, but that's fine.

Pretty sure it was Philly when Quinn was their coach. Can't remember the year though. Late 70's, early 80's....?
Orland Kurtenbach and Dennis Kearns had just been torched 8-1 by the Habs, but they still took time to come out to meet us, some fellow BC boys who were playing hockey in Montreal. THAT"S what being a Canuck is!

Ahh, Your thinking of the longest undefeated streak. Philly had that with 35 straight. But that included 10 ties. I'm talkin' the longest of just wins.

Its the Pittsburgh Penguins... but I don't know what year or how many games! I'm pretty sure its one of the cup years... '92? As for the amount of games... 19? Total guesses.

Agreed on the bold. I don't think it was a cup year though I think it's the year they won the President's Trophy so 92-93. I have absolutely no idea on the games.

Yeah that would make a lot more sense, hence the trophy, haha

Yup it's the Penguins. ManUtd got the correct season too. Not 19 games though.

17 games?

Bingo!

In the 1992-93 season Mario Lemiuex was struck with Hodgkin's Disease. When he came back, he blew by Pat LaFontaine in the scoring race and lead his team on a 17-game winning streak.

Whilst we are talking about winning streaks, and on the heels of Detroit's epic home winning streak...

What is the longest road winning streak in NHL history? Its happened more than once, so name the number of games, the teams and the seasons.

I'll go with the Canadians with 10 games maybe? Don't know about the seasons, so maybe in the 50's?

Correct, it is 10 games, but not the Canadiens. It has happened a lot more recent than the 50s.

1. [Team?] - 10 games - [year?]
2. [Team?] - 10 games - [year?]
3. [Team?] - 10 games - [year?]
