Sorry guys without Daniel i still don't like their chances, it really screws with the lines and chemistry. Oh and don't say they won 8 of 9 down the stretch without him, that was against none playoff teams. The shutout win against L.A. in that span was done with Louie standing on his head and the team taking less penalties than L.A.. (He can't stand on his head for a 7 game series)
Also L.A. has less to focus their attention on with him out and it makes it much easier to shut down the rest of our none scoring team. The key to the Sedins success is their cycling game so if you take the best part out and put in a guy that falls over from a popcorn fart, your in trouble.
Just how Higgins put it: If our team relies on one person to do the job, then we aren't as deep as we thought. If you aren't deep, you won't make it far anyways. If you aren't deep, you won't win the cup.
IMO, we don't need Danny to win this series. We have everything we need. The only problem is it's how our current team can play our game without him and not be distracted (for example: game 1--- lots of penalties).
This team won't throw away this opportunity they have been waiting for the entire season. Even against the odds of not having Danny there, this team is given another chance to go deep and finish the job. This team will pull through. Just because we haven't been witnessing "blow-out wins" lately doesn't mean they aren't playing well all the time. This team is different (more defensively than last year). What matters is that we get a win from this series and move on to the next round.
Believe in the team. This isn't over until it's over.
