snolan
Tbay does make the most sense... now with that said, getting a deal done isn't exactly easy.
hockey is nice yes
forevernucks19 a trade clause of NTC!! NO trade CLAUSE, meaning that he CANNOT be traded without his consent, and that he ASKS for a trade. Hes having too much pressure because of you "FANS" wanting him to go, and if he doesnt something bad, you guys hackle him, BUT when Schneids doesnt win a game or whatsoever, NOONE hackles him. wai_lai416
so trading away a player that's more than serviceable but with a long contract for players that's useless but plays a different position with just as long of a contract.. how does that balance out? No one will give up any impact player for Luongo just cause the way he will end up being shipped out IF he does go.. a player that the team felt is expandable.. any teams that we approach will know we are desperate and they are one of the few only choices due to the NTC.. so if anything they'll dump us a bunch of useless plugs with insane contracts.. fifafu
Luongo and the 1st rounder to Tampa Bay for their 1st and 3rd seems fair to me. Then draft Mathew Dumba if possible.

ChuckNORRIS4Cup
Well the only bad thing is we like to trade with Florida only, I don't know if the Panthers will allow us to talk to the other team in that city. Florida is probably going to want us to take some more of their cap space, so they can sign better players!
mcgillnuck
I think NJ makes as much sense as Tampa Bay if Brodeur retires. He has the same cap hit as Brodeur, and he's a similar caliber goaltender. No shakeup required.
SwedishCrowns
To Tampa: Luongo,Raymond,Ballard,3rd Round Pick To Vancity: Mattias Ohlund, Victor Hedman, 2nd and 5th Round Pick Getting rid of Raymond is pretty self-explanatory Ballard because he is a cap bust and a failure (besides his awesome hipcheck), he is not worth 4 mil I want Mattias Ohlund because he is a forever canuck and Has great relationship with our players and the city. I love his defensive play and has great playmaking skills. He is also offensive when you want him to be and he is physical Victor Hedman- This swede is born in the same hometown as the Sedins, Has great relationship with them. He is 6'4. Great physical player. Great replacement for Ballard which is a cap bust. I would like Stamko's to come here and I would be willing to throw in a 1st round pick but We have enough centremen and top 6 forwards, UNLESS WE GET RID OF KESLER, which is not likely at all. Lines after off season: D.Sedin,H,Sedin,Burrows, Higgins/Booth,Kesler,Jensen/Hansen Malhotra,Pahlson,Higgins/Booth/Hansen Weise,Lapiere,Hansen or someone else. Not sure D Lines: Bieksa,Hamhuis Ohlund,Edler Hedman,Tanev( or Rome/Alberts) Cory (sorry, i can't spell his last name) Lack ( he may not be NHL ready but give him the preason and play him in games vs NYI,CBJ, etc. and he will get better with our great coaching staff. I am positive that Ohlund will love to come back here. We will have a total of 7 Swedes, 8 Canadians, and 4 Americans and 2 Danishs Luongo to tampa would get us MUCH more compared if we escorted him to Florida. Florida has limited skill players and we don't REALLY need toughness. Draft picks are not the best. Tampa has much more options and it is in Florida which Luongo's family loves. I ship him out there. Ohlund and Edler would be a great pairing. If Salo decides to retire, I am happy for him but if he decides to stay around, I'd trade him. I would't put him with Hedman because Tanev is doing a great job as a young player and Sami is not as reliable. Tanev didn't get a minus in like 17 consecutive games sometime around this season. Iamacanuck18
Luongo is a GREAT goalie, Schneider is a great goalie. I think we keep Lu and deal schneids. Luongo is a proven superstar but is ageing, Schneider is going to be a superstar and is young. Thus we will get way more for schnieder than For lu, So trade schneider and keep LU. Iamacanuck18
1st off, I doubt MG will be offering further contracts that look anything like Lu's so to ask Lu to part or play 2nd fiddle is in the cards. Lu will request a trade if he can't be the deisgnated starter. I disagree that LU has shown he can take us all the way. He has, as far as I'm concerned shown the exact opposite. He had regula melt-downs in the playoffs last year agains CHicago and Boston. He showed up for 4 games against Chicago and 3 against Boston. Simply not good enough. Look at Quick this las series...he wasn't as good as Cory but he made our guys work for every goal. Not a single softy. Even in game 2 this year, Lu let in a softy. He's inconsistent and on the decline. Time to mive on wiht COry. Oh...and why would we fdraft a high first rounder: develop him for 6 years; show case him as a future super star goalie and then trade him for a high first rounder?!! Absolute insanity!
