da.moose
San Jose could definitely use a shakeup and might be interested in trading for a top calibre NHL goalie if Roberto Luongo is made available. There is a chance that San Jose would prefer to either keep Marleau or trade him for younger players. Would Vancouver want Marleau? He has a cap hit of 6.9 million for two more seasons. He is turning 33 in September. He tends to play his worst hockey come playoff time. but... He has scored over 30 goals in six of the past 7 seasons as well as 4 seasons in a row. He would definitely bring more potency to our offense alongside Kesler. What do you guys think?
da.moose
By the way, I would much prefer someone younger and cheaper than Marleau for Luongo so I don't think I would make this trade even though Marleau is a player that could definitely help this team offensively. Pouria
Marleau for 6.9 million VS. Nash for 7.8 million hmmmm....I'd rather have the big hulking forward in Nash NEXT

bossram
No. Cap hit's too big and Marleau is starting to decline.

tricarboxylic
I think Luongo would most want to go to an Eastern team to make a fresh start. Being in one of the rival teams of Vancouver would not only irk the Vancouver fans, who are currently respecting Luongo, but it would also inhibit Luongo from playing better games. Moreover, teams such as Tampa Bay, New Jersey, and Toronto are in need of solid, veteran goaltenders. I'm sure each of those teams will find a way to acquire the goaltender, if necessary. Zoolander
No I wouldn't, but what about Edler for Clowe and a second? Also, trade Luongo to TBL for their 10th overall pick and draft Codi Ceci, anyone else included in this deal is a bonus.
