Game 4 to begin shortly.

Will St. Louis advance? Will Pekka Rinne continue his 0% save percentage in the final minute of the 3rd period? Tune in to find out ...

Hornqvist opens the scoring early in the 1st and Spaling adds an insurance marker to give NSH a 2-0 lead heading into the 2nd.

Halak yanked after giving up a goal to Martin Erat early in the 2nd. Kulemin and Rattie with a pair of late goals to make things interesting heading into the 3rd.

Weber blows one by Allen to put NSH up 4-2. Latta with a steal and snipe to give NSH a 5-2 lead. Rinne lets a softie get by him on a long shot by D'Agostini to get STL back in the game.

With Edmonton's blessing, it's gametime in Colorado. Rather, it was, like, 20 minutes ago.

1st Period: Zharkov has a ridiculous wrist shot, top shelf glove side on Couchaine. 1-0 Edm. Toews ties with a wrister a few mins later and then Ryan takes a Belskey feed for the 2-1 lead. Colorado holds until Taylor Hall tips a puck opposite corner on the PP with 4 seconds left in the period. Currently Colorado on the PP with 2:35 left in a tie game.

Pacioretty low blocker side with 1:16 left to go. 3-2 COL is the final. Shots 31-30 EDM.

3 Stars:

1. Adam Courchaine

2. Max Pacioretty

3. Jonathan Toews

Game 5 heads into the 3rd tied at 1 following a Chris Butler backhander from the slot that beat Halak.

Erat and Prince both find the score sheet in the 3rd to force game 6 in St. Louis.

3 Stars:

  1. Pekka Rinne (28 saves)

  2. Martin Erat (1 goal)

  3. Chris Butler (1 goal)

Game 2 at the Pepsi Center coming up. btw, it is ridiculous how good this Edmonton team is going to be. Zharkov winding up gives me minor heart flutters every time.

3 minutes into the game and Schneider misses his target, gives the puck to LaRose with an empty net. That's the only way Chad LaRose scores goals. 1-0 COL. Justin Williams, prized off-season acquisition, responds to a zone wide breakaway attempt by slowing and taking a slapshot right into the chest, Classic Williams. Edmonton takes a penalty directly afterwards. Good kill and goes into 1st Intermission 1-0, shots 14-5 Colorado. Van Riemsdyk grabs a loose puck and jams it in on the wraparound :58 into the 2nd. Tie game. Hall grabs a bad clearing attempt and puts it blocker side. 2-1 EDM with 11:15 left in the 2nd. Still no assists in this game. Shots tied at 20, score is 2-1 coming into the 3rd. Souto picks up a Zharkov rebound and it's 3-1 EDM with 14 left. A few fast ones, as Seguin, Toews and Lander all score within about a minute of each other. 5-2 EDM coming into the final 3. Williams scores on a short side one timer with 1:34 left. Might have a game. 5-3 EDM. Except we don't, Schneider makes a sliding cross crease glove save on Vermette with 19 seconds left that all but ruins any chance of Colorado coming back in time. 5-3 is the final on Game 2. Shots 36-35 COL

Stars:

1. Tyler Seguin

2. Chad Larose

3. Max Pacioretty

The Nashville Predators and St. Louis Blues take the stage at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee for an always exciting game 7. After going down 3-0 in the series, the Nashville Predators have battled back to tie the series and force a winner-take-all scenario and have the opportunity to become just the 4th team in NHL history to come back from a 3-0 series deficit, a feat last performed by the 2010 Philadelphia Flyers en route to a Stanley Cup Finals appearance.

A quick pair of goals from Kulemin and D'Agostini allowed St. Louis to jump out to an early 2-0 lead, but Nashville quickly answered with a pair of their own from Bouwmeester and Spaling to tie it up. Late in the period, Ty Rattie gloved a puck into his own net with 3.1 seconds left in the first to give Nashville a 3-2 lead with 40 minutes to play.

Simon Houle snaps a wrister by Jaroslav Halak for his first career NHL goal to give Nashville a 4-2 lead heading into the third.

The Predators add 3 more in the 3rd and win game 7 by a score of 7-2.

That was one heck of a series STL. GG

3 Stars:

  1. Pekka Rinne (35 saves)

  2. Matthew Halischuk (3 assists)

  3. Jay Bouwmeester (1 goal, 1 assist)

Game 2 has begun as Calgary attempts to once again shut down the potent Anahiem offense

Jokipakka opens the scoring with a blast from the point and Nyquist adds another five hole on Hiller. 2-0 CGY in the first. Calgary dominating offensivley adding 2 more from Keith and Welsh to give CGY a 4-0 lead after the first period shots are 22-4.

2 more goals in the second by Pyatt and Morin, everyone getting in on the scoring, to make it 6-0 after 2 with the shot at 30-16

Switching goalies to Elliot did not help as the trend continued in the third with Calagry dominating. Goals in the third from Keith, Morin, Krueger, Hayes and Ellis with Irving posting his second shutout.

Final score : 11-0 CGY

Final shot total: 42-25 CGY

Three stars:

1.Jones (5 assists)

2. Keith (2 goals 1 assist)

3. Krueger (1 goal, 2 assists)
