The Washington Capitals would like to thank Florida for a hard fought series, they battled hard and hurt a lot of players.

We look forward to battling Carolina yet again. Hopefully guys can step up for their injured teammates.

Game 4 starting, Coyotes looking to tie the series.

Period 1

Nashville gets on the powerplay 2 minutes in, and Craig Smith scores to make it 0-1.

Rinne with amazing saves 8 minutes in.

Shinnimin wins the faceoff for Ekman-Larsson who doesn't think twice and buries one 16 minutes in. We're now tied at 1.

Phoenix on the powerplay with 2 minutes left to play, but no success.

First period ends at 1-1.

Shots 12-9 for Phoenix.

Period 2

Korpikoski tries to sneak one past Rinne but hits the post and Rinne covers 5 minutes in.

This time he manages to move the puck into the net, Coyotes go up 2-1 with 7 minutes left.

Thornton ties the game with 9 seconds left in the second with a wrister.

Tied at 2, shots 25-22 for Phoenix.

Period 3

Penner scores on a giveaway to make it 3-2 with 11 minutes to go.

2 minutes later Hanzal makes no room for error as he buries a perfect feed from Korpikoski, 4-2 lead for Phoenix.

Backlund shoves the puck in and makes it 5-2 with 1.48 left to play.

Coyotes take game 4 5-2 to tie the series.

Shots 41-26 for Phoenix.

Three stars

1. Dustin Penner, 1 goal, 1 assist.

2. Lauri Korpikoski, 1 goal, 1 assist.

3. Jimmy Howard, 2.00 GAA' .923SV%.

Series shifts back to Shea Weber for Game 5.

Game 5 from Nashville, Tennessee

1st Period:

Matthew Halischuk opens the scoring early in the first to give NSH the early lead.

Shinnimin ties it up on a deflection.

Joffrey Lupul snipes on the powerplay to give PHX a 2-1 lead.

2nd Period:

Backlund's one-timer finds the back of the net. 3-1 PHX

Thornton to the box for 2 for a vicious boarding penalty. PHX fails to capitalize.

3rd Period:

Thornton scores on a wraparound to get NSH within 1. 3-2 PHX

Michael Latta takes a feed from Shalla and banks it off the back of Howard's pad to tie it up with less than a minute left.

Overtime:

Vallerand nails a one-timer top corner to win it for PHX in OT

PHX up 3-2 in the series heading back to Glendale.

Back in Jobing.com arena where the Predators are facing elimination, will they live for Game 7?

We'll see as the puck drops in Game 6.

The Coyotes get a penalty to kill 2 minutes in.

Craig Smith scores on the powerplay to get an early lead.

Mikael Backlund answers with a wrister to tie it up 9.12 minutes in.

Predators' turn to kill a penalty.

Vallerand slaps it home on the PP to take a 2-1 lead late in the first.

Coyotes head into the 2nd period with a 2-1 lead. Shots 15-4 for Phoenix.

2nd period

At 11.02, Yandle sits for 2 minutes on a roughing penalty.

Coyotes manage to kill the penalty, as Bouwmeester hits the post in the final seconds of the PP.

With 4.14 left in the period, Michalek makes it 3-1 with a bomb from the blueline.

A minute later, Cogliano increases the lead to 4-1.

Shots 30-18 after second.

Period 3

Nashville changes their goalie, Chet Pickard skates between the pipes.

Phoenix takes a stupid penalty with 8 seconds left.

Scoreless third and Coyotes are hesding into WCF!

Shots 52-25 for Phoenix.

Game 1

Game one just getting underway in Calgary in this round 2 matchup.The battle of Alberta looks like it will be an entertaining high scoring affair. Calgary is still dealing with some Injuries as Kwiet and Rutkowski are out for the rest of playoffs and Watson will be dropping from wing to D to cover.

1st Period

Hayes (CGY) opens scoring

Kostitsyn (CGY) gets another quick one 20 seconds after

Kostitsyn (CGY) snipes in another from the slot with 10 seconds remaining in period

Shots after first 11-4 CGY

2nd Period

No scoring

Shots 21-13 CGY

3rd Period

Eberle (EDM) scores with 11 minutes to go to bring EDM within 2

Kostitsyn (CGY) Beats schnieder with 10 seconds to go to complete the hat trick

Calgary leads series 1-0

Final score: 4-1 CGY

Shots: 32-23 CGY

Three stars: Kostitsyn, Hayes, Irving

CGY wins 5-2 and takes 2-0 series lead with series heading up north to Edmonton shots 39-27 CGY. Three stars: Plekanec, Morin, Irving

Bolland injures his leg and is out for next 3 games

Calgary keeps the streak going winning Game 3 with a score of 6-1 three stars: Irving, Kane, Hayes.

Calgary goes up 3-0 in the 2nd round series and are on a 7 game win streak in the playoffs. Game 4 about to get started at Rexall

Edm gets a goal late in the 3rd to tie it sending the game to overtime. Who else but Eberle to come up clutch to keep EDM playoffs alive. Score is now 2-2 at the start of OT

And Bozak comes up big with a rebound goal on the PP 5 minutes into overtime. Final score 3-2 EDM series now 3-1 heading back to the Saddledome ending Calgarys streak.

Three stars:

3. Irving
