London @ Moncton

This game is very important, as the winner of this game will advance to the semifinals to face the Niagara IceDogs as both these teams currently have identical 0-1-1 records.

expect this game to be hard fought.

I'm putting my money on London.

Niagara has advanced to the semifinals, and Medicine Hat has advanced to the finals!

I will sim this tomorrow :)

Lameeee...I was having such a great post-season too, 4 goals and 9 points in 6 games. I probably wasn't getting much help support-wise in Halifax

AND THE LONDON KNIGHTS ADVANCE TO THE MEMORIAL CUP FINALS

Niagara opens the scoring but London had a quick answer. Game was a back and forth affair, as Niagara took the 2-1 lead heading into the 3rd period with a goal from Trevor Petersen who has been all over the scoresheet for Niagara. 4 minutes into the 3rd, Scott Harrington ties the game up on the power play, showing everyone why he made Team Canada and why he is the captain. But with 9 minutes left in the 3rd, 3rd liner Brook Hiddink scores to put the IceDogs up 3-2. Mits TcGee then comes through for London, down 3-2 with 5 minutes left, ties it up then scores the OT winner just 42 seconds into the OT period, sending the OHL Champion Niagara IceDogs home and catapulting the London Knights to their second Memorial Cup Finals in three years

Clutch performance by Mits TcGee on a world stage with little time remaining.

Niagara is eliminated
London Knights - 2-1-1
Niagara IceDogs - 2-2-0

Final Score - London 1 Medicine Hat 4

Medicine Hat, one of the most storied franchises in WHL history, defeats one of the best teams in the CHL the past three years 4-1 to win the franchise's 3rd ever Memorial Cup title.

London opened the scoring just 4 minutes into the first period but that's all the offense they could muster as Jacob Doty, Curtis Valk and Hunter Shinkaruk carried the team to an easy 4-1 victory and a memorial cup title. Jacob Doty tied the game up 7 minutes into the 2nd and Curtis Valk added a goal on the power play to give the Tigers the 2-1 lead heading into the 3rd period

At the start of the period, just 30 seconds in, London took a bad penalty and Curtis Valk made them pay, adding his 2nd power play marker of the night just 59 seconds in. Jacob Doty added an empty netter with 16 seconds left for good measure.

THE MEDICINE HAT TIGERS ARE MEMORIAL CUP CHAMPIONS

Congratulations to Medicine Hat on a Memorial Cup victory!
