  1. But I'm right here, searching my own username on CDC and replying to months old threads.
  2. Amazingly fit, and his compete level is wild. I don't think I could be more happy with this pick.
  3. Absolutely sick pick. Dude's got greasy hands, and is very creative.
  4. I'll think you'll see it become more of a thing again as the league continues to get faster. Things happen so fast I truly believe the athleticism of smaller guys will have value again in net. Big athletic goalies will always have favor, but I don't think pure technical ability will work as well going forward. The ability to make a desperation save will be a must.

Ed Jovonoski was on Sportsnet 650. He said Florida's biggest mistake was letting him go.

I'm not gonna argue with Jovocop.

    3. NewbieCanuckFan

@Ghostsof1915  I vaguely remembering Shane Corson trying to get to Jovocop in the Canucks dressing room (heh, must be related to Torts :P).  For the life of me, I can't remember the circumstances surrounding that...I do remember Corson hitting Jovocop in the face with his stick and getting a suspension for that around that time.

      The JuRiEs OuT..for this InJuRiEs-bout?!

  9. I'm not sure how I'm being unfair to him by saying he's really good at the role he's brought in to play. He's a fantastic piece of depth who is always nipping at the heels of the bottom pairing guys. I prefer him over MDZ and Pouliot in general, but he shouldn't be a full time NHLer on a roster with acceptable defense. He should be a 7th guy who fills in for injury or when someone is playing like garbage. 30-40 games a year sorta guy. I like his ability to play 4th line forward and not look like trash too. That's always good to have in a reserve player like him.
  10. Biega is definitely a good 7/8. Dude can sit for weeks and play like he hasn't missed a game. His best isn't that great, but he's consistent due to the effort. It's a great utility to have when he's not forced to play a lot.

    2. BananaMash

@smithers joe that's exactly what he is. he would be the PERFECT guy to have around all the younger players. most underrated bottom six player in the league.

@Spoderman Is the kik chat actually still alive? Must sauce me an add.

  16. He looked pretty off in the first period, which makes sense given it's his first game. He was behind the play and sort of scrambling a bit. After the first, he was solid. Made some really tight plays, and was solid positionally. If he doesn't show to be NHL ready next season, I would say he's not far off. Just based on one game anyway, we'll see how he looks over the next couple.
  17. I love when my car insurance jumps arbitrarily up by 20 dollars and nobody at the insurance center can explain why it went up so much.

    2. stawns

do you seriously believe you have more medical knowledge than the training staff of a major sports franchise?  You would be very much incorrect

    3. Nuxfanabroad

I agree they should have exorcised caution/Linda Blair...

    4. BananaMash

@stawns I absolutely dont think I have more knowledge than a trained medical staff - But professionals make mistakes. And sometimes they're ones that people from the outside can be aware of, regardless of who has more training. It happens with doctors and malpractice, it can happen with team medical staff too.

I'm not arrogant enough to think I'm smarter than they are but it just is personally confusing as to why they were so fast and loose with it given the area of the injury.

Though I'll admit, they might have just assumed it was his hip. Even on the replay it looked like a hip injury initially, the way he hit.
