You are many more times likely to be shot or killed with your own firearm or shoot or kill a family member, friend or guest in your home than some faceless criminal. Mr. Ambien Posted January 14, 2013 Share Posted January 14, 2013 They need a study correlating the amount of training one has with a firearm and how often "accidents" will occur. Seems to me that most of the people having accidental shootings are probably the same loafs that probably have trouble walking and chewing gum at the same time. As for the guy who discharged the gun, was it even a registered weapon or illegal? If all the paperwork is in order... time to make the firearms course more difficult... plus throw in an IQ test on it too. More education is key.
