So it appears Kesler will be back soon (although hopefully not Saturday). Who's the odd man out?

Schroeder - Makes sense due to the lack of waivers, but he's played well and earned a spot
Ebbett - Waiver eligible, but useless. We lack depth up the middle though
Barker - Unproven, but still has upside and will probably be picked up
Alberts - Decent depth guy but Vandermeer brings the same things to the table and more.

I'd send down Ebbett, he doesn't do anything well enough to justify putting him in the lineup and letting him do it.

Ebbet for sure. Before I thought Schroeder would definitely get sent down once Kesler returned, but he's played good enough to stay with the team.

That line-up is STUDLY!

I'd like to see Volpatti rotate in and out though, he looks like a great 4th line energy player.

Definitely not Weise over Malhotra...

Obviously Malhotra would slot in against less physical opposition. The reason I like Weise in that spot is it gives us a good energy line as the 4th line.

I look at it more this way when everyone is healthy:

1st line
2nd line
3rd line A
3rd line B

So really there isn't a 4th line since we have so much depth and stacked up front. If AV can roll all 4 lines then I think everyone will be satisfied.

Entry vote is for Ebbitt, love it.

I'd go with.

Sedin - Sedin - Burrows
Hanson - Kesler - Kassian
Raymond - Schroeder - Booth
Higgins - Malhotra - Lapierre

I like burrows better with the twin as kassian doesn't work hard enough. I don't like booth with kesler as they both don't pass. I don't want to see Higgins or Hanson on the 4th.... I think booth or Raymond need to be part of the trade for Lou. I would like to see the line of Raymond Schroeder Booth for a few games it could work out well. Trade for a second line passing winger (or center and play Ryan on the wing) and we have a deep team.

Why not? all the other wingers are outplaying him right now, and I imagine Booth will as well. A quality 4th line should pay dividends in the playoffs. With the skill level of him and his 2 linemates, it wouldn't really be a traditional 4th line anyway, more like another 3rd.

Definitely not Weise over Malhotra...

Manny should not hold a spot over Weise. Not if they continue playing as they are, expect Weise to get better too.

Schroeder will go down.

Ebbett is the ideal 13th forward that sits in the box. When Kesler returns, if Schroeder doesn't have a roster spot, then he'll sit in the box - management will want Schroeder to play as many minutes as possible, so he'll be sent down.

If Schroeder does earn a roster spot as a 3rd line center, and we put Weise/Volpatti in the press box, then Ebbett will be the one to go.

The problem with sitting Ebbet in the box is what if we have to use him? He should not be on the ice again for any reason.

The problem with Schroeder sitting is that he doesn't develop.

Again, if we can sit Weise or Volpatti and give Schroeder the 3rd line role, then yes. If not, send him down and keep Ebbett. IF we should have to use him, it will be a short term 1-3 game fix - if it is long-term, then we can easily call up Schroeder and keep Ebbett in the box.

Agreed, Schroeder has to be on the third line or sent down. I think we will be a better team with him playing and developing here.

I'm sure we will see a trade.
