We get a 21 yr old RHD who's a bit of a throw back. Would compliment Hughes perfectly. 6'3 210
We take a gamble on another 21 yr old Alexis Laf who had 0 points in 7 games for NYR against Devils. Emilie Castonguay would have inside scoop and maybe knows what we could do to take his career to next level
Thoughts?

OB saying he thinks we need more sandpaper/toughness and Rick agreeing was beautiful.
Hopefully we can target guys like Domi/Bertuzzi/Graves and trade Garland for a worse player at half the caphit but brings a physical element

I wonder if the Canucks can trade to make hockey trades with teams that failed early this post-season.

shame to see these kinda calls in a game 7.
Call for a dive but no call on Bennetts semi break where he was hooked from behind and didn't even get a shot.
Refs need to put the whistles away and let them play. FLA needs 1 more PP now after that embarrassing dive by Pasta

The guy has the same amount of goals (32) as last year. Yes, his points dropped a bit (assists) but it wasn't like he wasn't setting others up brilliantly....if they don't capitalize on their chances that's not on him.
It really weakens arguments to me when people do this. Over exaggerate things...means their argument wasn't strong enough to stand on its own.
Outside of Miller and maybe Joshua all our forwards will get crushed in playoff hockey. None of our D fight or are tough. We need playoff players not tiny guys with no pushback. I get skilled and quick players, but we need also desperately need hard nosed skill.

Its crazy to see the college guys come in and the transition look seamless. Like they just make the simple play unlike a lot of our D that think they're Quinn Hughes cousin out there.

Good on Joshua for not going but boy of boy if he actually fought he'd be unreal. He just doesn't have that aspect to his game.. Does he eve have a fight this season? He fought in a meaningless preseason game to get noticed and get a job.

Paying to give Garland away is ridiculous. Sure he's a 4 million dollar guy making 5 million. I've seen a lot worse contracts. Guy gets no PP time and played with Dries (bless his heart) and still got 46 points. Guy is fast and feisty. Had something like 1 less 5v5 point than Miller his first season here. Canucks should try putting players in positions to succeed if they want to move on from them. Garland should have played in top 6 last 25 games and racked up the points if they planned to move him. Not put on the 3rd line with no PP time. What you expect?
