He let Torres walk, that was a huge mistake. I understand the rep Torres has...but he is a one of a kind player, definitely worth keeping. Malhotra seems to be doing just fine, would have been a great 4th line C + PK C. Could have been kept after retirement as a face-off coach. Ehrhoff was offered KB3 money, and we all know he was worth more, so he got it else where. Luongo only wanted out because he was being shoved aside any time someone else made a save. I'd like to point out that Lu has better stats than Lack and Schneider. He's a world class goalie who was being benched for a rookie. Personally I'm glad his new agent got him the trade. Gillis has done some great things, but he has definitely done more harm than good. He seems to be rectifying it since the last draft but it's going to a bumpy road, and I'm thinking he won't be the one driving it.

I'm sorry but our prospect pool is one of the worst in the league. Jensen has looked good as of late but is not considered a top tier prospect, we'll see how he does next year. Corrado was a diamond in the rough but hasn't done anything spectacular. He will be an NHL D-Man one day, but 2nd or 3rd string. Dane Fox is looking good, lets see if he can translate that into the NHL when he's ready. Horvat, Is going to be a star one day Shinkaruk, a lot people are on the fence with him, but I truly believe he is going to a 50 goal scorer... That's my opinion, not everyones. Ericsson hasn't done anything to say he's a good prospect. Cassels, Subban, Cederholm, etc are still all question marks. The Canucks have to rebuild through free agency, we don't have the NHL ready prospects to fill our lines. Jensen should be here next season, but Gillis needs to use our cap space to land at least 2 of these guys, hopefully 3. Gaborik, Hiller, Vanek, Callahan as well as land a bounty IF he trades Kesler. The only reason to trade Kesler is if he get a slight over payment for him. That being said, unless we are making the play-offs in the top 3, I doubt Kesler resigns in two years.

It is professional sports................ They are paid to win and play... These are professional athletes who are competitive, they WILL ALWAYS try to win... Tanking is not only dumb, it is not going to happen...ever...people need to get over this

Meh, I said 94-98 and 96 is smack dab in the middle. Sure are a lot of haters on today...... I still stand by what I said, this team will not purposefully tank. The only people who care about these draft picks are the people on CDC.

Personally, I think the Canucks will fall just short, but that doesn't change the fact they aren't going to try... This team has gone on a tear and it is not as far fetched as people think for them to do it... They have the players to do it. Jensen looks amazing, Burrows has caught fire, Hanks getting points again, and 3rd line was great today, Booth with 10 hits. Personally I think we finish we with 94-98 points, and either just miss or just make the play-offs by 1 point. We just need the defence to step up. (Edler) As the great Eddie Lack once said. Seriously, the people who want this team to lose aren't real fans... How can you sit there and actually want your team to lose games instead of make the push for the play-offs... It's ridiculous... No team actually goes out and purposefully loses games... Look at Calgary, they go for the win EVERY SINGLE GAME. They play hard, block shots and never give up... This team will never purposefully tank... Get over it

I for one am glad Luongo got traded and glad for what we got in return... But man oh man do I miss him... I like Lack, but Luongo makes those veteran saves...
