I feel as though the Canucks organization owes it to Burrows to let him finish out his contract. When he was a 30 goal scorer he was getting paid peanuts, and he is getting paid for it now. The guy is a warrior, let him finish his contract, he is still one of the best PK'ers on the team and is great in his own zone.

I usually agree and I am one to say keep Horvat out of the nhl right now and even if we get Reinhart I say keep him down too. But those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Shinkaruk was passed over in the bantam draft because of his size. He was drafted late and lit it up. Same thing happened in the nhl draft. He fell really far and was sniped. He was our best prospect last year in the pre season hands down. His snipe on Lundqvist even made The King smile... It was beautiful. If there was any prospect in our pool I would bet money on... It would be hunter.. He will be overlooked constantly until he reaches the nhl and when he finally does, if we trade him, CDC will never let it go. GMJB out GM'd again.

I'm cheering for him and am very much so wanting to see him succeed. But after being so heavily let down by the seemingly self destructive Tortorella, I am going into this season with caution in terms of expectations. Benning needs to sign at least 1 heavy hitter off the FA market.

I am cautiously optimistic with this coach. He's unproven at the NHL level of hockey. Great resume and accolades, but still unproven.

I agree with you on all point except Booth, I still feel that he has a 2nd liner in him... It was there at the end of the season which was coincidentally 1 year after his ankle surgery... He will not be bought out and sadly will not make the 2nd line. But he will make the 2nd line of his next team and have a terrific year with the Canucks,
