mmmmmm PR. Been a while... SATURDAY: Toronto is issuing fines up to $5,000 for people using prohibited amenities at parks. They turned away 1,000 vehicles from three of the biggest parks in Toronto. Which is good! Only 1,000. But it’s still 1,000 cars worth of people. 141 complaints were made by people calling in 311 to report unsafe gatherings and unsafe behaviours in parks. 800 vehicles turned from parks in Scarborough (Burnaby compared to Vancouver) 780 fines between $750-$5,000 were issued in the GTA.

But the China/ Taiwan issue is maybe the biggest single issue facing geopolitical scrutiny today. The “entante” for years between the USA and China was: The United-States keeps Taiwan from declaring independence, otherwise China attacks Taiwan. In return, China doesn’t let North Korea build a nuclear weapon or invade South Korea, otherwise the USA attacks North Korea. But today with Trump’s USA, I don’t know if this still stands. All there is to know is that Chinese missiles all point to Taiwan and they will attack if Taiwan declares independence. So the WHO does not want to stir the pot on that one, nor pet the tiger the wrong way.
