  1. Good pick up in Diaz! I hope this sends a message to our other underachievers. The fastest skater competition at SuperSkills has just blown WIDE open now!
  2. I hope those lines are not accurate. If that is going to be the gameday line-up, I hate that Kassian is being punished for being the team's best forward as of late, and Burrows and Hansen rewarded. Kassian plays his way back in the top six and scores the 1-0 winner.
  3. Another untimely penalty on Booth. Gotta kill this one you guys.
  4. Wow if you looked real close, you could literally see a weight fly off Kesler's shoulders with that celebration.
  5. Obviously we can't hold a lead right? So this right where we want 'em!
  6. Wow, that's gotta be the first time an announcer has mentioned a Sestito goal without bringing up his 40 goal season in juniors.
  7. Yeah, Kass is showing some beautiful hands and continues to make nice dishes. Schroeder seems a better fit as a player who could excel on the rush more than if Kassian played with the Sedins who are not really players who make plays on the rush.
  8. If I never heard this damn Bruno Mars song in a commercial ever again, I don't think I would be sad.
  9. Prediction: The Canucks bring it and win a hard battle 2-1. People on CDC ask post-game "If they could bring it this hard against Chicago, why didn't they do the same against lesser teams like Edmonton???" Canucks mentality questioned. People respond with "People complain when we lose, people complain when we win. What do you want from them???" People suggest making a trade for the hottest player on the Blackhawks tonight in exchange for Edler and Hansen.
  10. Bure went from a 23 goal season (missed 19 games, on pace for 30 goals) and bounced back with a 51 goal season in 97-98. Now, Bure was always the exception and not the rule and I don't believe this is any significant reason why the Sedins will do the same. In fact, their career trajectory matches more the Markus Naslund model, almost exactly. But you were looking for one example.
  11. He's pissed off after a lot of games. Then the next game, he disappears.
  12. Sky is falling much? I agree that some shake-up is needed, but come on, Lu just had two sub-par performances. The rest of the season he has easily been our MVP and was playing some of the best hockey in years prior to these two games.
  13. The people who are upset aren't upset just because of this one game. It's the culmination of the last stretch of games, how we lost, how we look lately, and how the prospects of the rest of the season look based on what we've gotten this year. The way this team is going lately, this one should've been one the Canucks come out salivating for the 2 points. But they obviously weren't. So yeah, it's just one game. But the problem is the Canucks seem to play like it's "just one game" too. Where's the urgency? Where's the desire to prove to fans and management that this is the team? Where is that "don't break up our core" mentality from before? It's almost as if they're conceding a change needs to be made too through their play.
