Prefer Dubois for a few reasons. Like Tkachuk for different reasons.

If #4 is Dubois and we still hold #5 then I'd expect JB to dangle that pick for an overpayment by someone. If he calculates the risk as paying off greater by moving it, then we'll judge him then.

In the meantime, I'm both stoked and prepared to welcome our highest own draft pick in years into the Vancouver Canucks family, and at #5 it just has to be a forward, and Tkachuk looks like the consensus.

I prefer Tkatchuk over PLD personally...I hope he's available at 5th.

I can see it already: Tkachuk digs the puck from the corner, dishes to McCann who slides it far post for Boeser to bury home!

What about what some people fear regarding that narrative?

"Tkachuk stands infront of the net waiting for the puck to be battled for along the boards, it's a turnover going the other way now, a 3 on 2 with Tkachuk the last man back"

People seem to think he isn't the battle hardened battler that some make him out to be, even if he is putting up the points.
