  1. I think it probably just goes to how little rope Torts has left with Edler, he hasn't been playing well and has been costing us regularly, probably less of the specifics there vs jesus edler cost us again?
  2. I think Edler may be sitting next game... Edler and Booth, what can we get? a top 6 winger? We need Edler to have a good stretch and move him. I was very supportive of him last year but seems like he's just snakebitten here and needs a change...he still has a TON of value so if moved we better bloody well get a stud winger back because he will play well once moved. but his time here is ending I think...
  3. I am watching the MSG feed, not sure if the spnet feed showed it but Torts just tore a strip out of Edler man...wow...like bad....he was screaming and pointing alot! did they show that on the canadian feed? anyone...
  4. i didn't watch him much in nashville but nashville was always a gritty team, i cant see him being soft. and i'd take a consistent playmaker on kesler's wing any day for booth Sedin Sedin Kassian Burrows Kesler Erat Higgins Santo Hansen Weise Richardson Sestito I dont mind that
  5. why do people say the guy is soft? have you seen his numbers? its like calling the sedins soft man you dont last 13 years in the nhl being soft you dont score over 50 pts and are 1 or 2 in team scoring on nashville 8 times, yes 8 times in 11 years being soft dude wow
  6. oh big boi put on your diapers you might pee yourself in your rage
  7. dude i quoted one of your quotes that said basically they were similar, after i saved mine you had changed your quote.. lol...sorry but caught in the act... as you are here...go look at the consistency buddy...he's better than booth so its my view. your view is he isn't, i guess we won't see until erat is somewhere else right? and if he shows it, i'll remind you who's boss and if you look at the stats you'll see what i said 'booth was billed as a second liner' but never consistently showed it, one good year of over 50 pts erat has had 8 of over 50 buddy and has been healthy so one IS A SECOND LINER, one was BILLED AS ONE AND FAILED.
  8. no just saying if they'd take it...wont dispute that but question is they really are similar right NOW... so what can washington get? teams will argue 4.5 ml for a guy who's not scoring? (as many here have) cap issues/people say no or they'll offer a mid round pick just to take the salary we have a player who needs a change, will probably play better in the east, as their player will prob play better in the west salaries are similar its a change of scenery deal.... if they ask for more than a 3rd rounder thrown in no way but to get booth gone, a chance at a real second liner for basically a 3rd i'd do it ask for a real player no way, and i agree with you
  9. yes but thats the point at this stage if you look at a booth for him swap he's better odds to contribute given both players are underachieving where they are. and given his track record, i'd bet he's got a better chance at helping this team score and stay healthy than does booth and see my above point about the comparison to booth. erat is a much better player. best way to show it, and sure washington overpaid, but would they have offered us forsberg for booth? lol no way in hell
  10. Booth has played how many years in the NHL? - answer 9 years How many of those were full seasons? -answer 4 years, he has not played a full season in his last 5 years How many years in even his full years has he scored over 50 pts? -answer, only once has Booth scored more than 50 pts, in fact only once has he surpassed 40 pts. sorry your argument is unbelievably weak sir. LOL! you changed your tune after I posted this...hahah ok well you agree then, booth for erat makes sense...if they ask for more, like the addition of someone young no way but change of scenery for change of scenery yes
  11. so now that i owned you and showed you he is consistent based on his 13 year career which kills your argument that he isn't a consistent player, you change your argument to something that cannot be proven by suggesting he is a locker room cancer - interesting. is your need to 'feel' right so much more important than being objective? he's a cancer hey? but he spent 11 years in Nashville, led the team in scoring but was a cancer, and it took them 11 years to move him? maybe he's a top line player and much like Markus Naslund wasn't suited for the 3rd line and is being underutilized. hmm... wow
  12. please look at his stats i dont think people realize he's been in the nhl for 13 years and his stats are unbelievably consistent, until he went to washington this guy is a second liner buddy
  13. yes stats do prove this out. other than his play in washington he has been a very consistent player. I see why Washington made that trade when looking at his numbers, they wanted a guy for the run.. For whatever reason he didn't fit into their system but his numbers show he can play. In Nashville he was a top 2 scorer 85% of his seasons there. He has averaged over 50pts a year and is a two way player with speed and a good passer as evidenced by his numbers. He might fit in well with Kesler. If its a Booth for Erat move, no brainer.
  14. far from consistent? ummm dude sorry other than his move to washington he has been INCREDIBLY CONSISTENT see my post above or this link if you dont agree http://www.hockeydb....y.php?pid=45124
  15. I keep hearing bad things from people on here but the guy is 32 and: Has played 13 years in the NHL 11 of those years with Nashville - a team that plays a very gritty 2 way game (if not defense first) Has close to 500 pts in 755 games Averaged pretty much 50 pts a season for 8 of the years with Nashville He was in most of his years number 1 or 2 in scoring on Nashville - they simply dont score much He's a playmaker and can play on Kesler's wing He has wheels Has been pretty much healthy all the way through Booth for him, I'd do it... He's been more consistent than Booth in all respects.
  16. if henrik was declining the stats would show it they do not why are you so angry? is your life that bad? if it is i am sorry.
  17. henrik has played one less game. most of the players named other than ovechkin have played within one game try reading stats before you troll. your -76 reputation points clearly suggest this trolling is a regular occurance he can't do it anymore? i didn't think the season ended tomorrow....damn who's in the playoffs can you tell me? what are the matchups? thanks!
  18. lol...you said henrik was going downhill he is two pts back of malkin tonight, yes six now of crosby bc of tonight wow! six points back of the best player in the world!!! wow! thats soooo bad!!! troll away he's 2pts out of 4th (ovie) 3pts out of 3rd, 4 out of 2nd. might want to look at ovie's plus minus vs. henrik's ...again please do a little research before you troll..it will save you some time and effort of raging. http://www.nhl.com/i...iewName=summary oh and the argument of pp points, yeah the pp is playing poorly but it also means he is scoring more five on five, which is actually harder, ie he's not getting the pp padding of the stats that helps alot of players And i can't really understand your logic On one hand you critisize henrik for not getting more assists than Malkin (even though he's only 2pts total behind him) then on the other you argue ovie has 20 goals and henrik isn't close to that. soo...you think Henrik should lead the league in goals and assists hey? you think he is Wayne circa 1989? is that it? I think you are simply on here to release some pent up trolling rage you have. consider yourself owned again
  19. edler should have staying front of the net...he lost his focus and went for a big hit on a guy who was already being harassed by Garrison...it was a bonehead play to leave the net for a big hit when its 2-1 late in a game, especially when that wasn't his responsibility (garrison was there, albeit not in great position). agree with everything else, i said the same thing about booth earlier. even if he didn't recognize that he should have taken the net because of the bad read by edler, he should have been going to the post to be the outlet for Edler to pass if Eddie got the puck, he didn't even do that. had he, he would have been in the right spot but was being lazy. I see it less of a breakdown in the offensive zone vs a bad read by edler and a bad support play by booth.
  20. yes...one of edler or garrison needs to be moved because they are similar and if packaged correctly (in garrison's case) should fetch a top six winger. issue is MG has been poor at making deals so we may end up getting ripped off again. I'd prefer to see Edler go (as much as I like him) bc since that injury something has been off with his mobility. Also, he should fetch more, but he has a ntc so its hard. Reality is, we are lacking up front and we have good depth on d, especially with corrado in the minors, you need to move a strength to address a weakness, and mg seems frightened and rightly so given his trading track record. I do agree with the guys you said we should make sure we keep. Bieksa has really raised his game under Torts and is bringing a toughness that made him a fan favorite here. He has also settled down defensively. Hammer is pure talent and can play ten years with his skating ability, just having a slow start. And Tanev will only get better and better.
  21. Ok 1. Sisters? i suggest you try taking the beating those two take on a nightly basis and i am sure you'll be crying in about 4 minutes 2. You might want to look at where hank is in the scoring race. I am sure you'd want any of the names around him yet you say he's going downhill lol Would you take Perry? P.Kane? How bout Malkin?Ovechkin? well guess what? Perry is tied, Kane 1pt ahead, Ovechkin 2pts ahead, Crosby is 4 pts ahead... So why don't you start giving an ELITE PLAYER THE RESPECT HE DESERVES VS SOUNDING LIKE A TYPICAL WHINY FAN. Be objective before you make comments. Daniel, sure not having his greatest year, but he's only 3pts behind Henrik and on pace for a 75pt year. One good game and Daniel is top 10 in scoring. consider yourself owned
  22. agree this whole focus on how many shots is not the right metric, scoring chances is. you can take 50 shots from the outside, it doesn't matter. i saw a few decent attempts tonight and incrediblly they came from booth. twice he drove hard to the net problem is we're either going in alone like that, or the support is going TOO HARD to the net. when one forward drives the crease, the other guys need to slow down a bit bec the puck may squirt out...instead it seems like they yell 'charge' and everyone scrums the net hoping it will bounce off a leg. i get it, this is part of breaking out of a scoring slump, finding a greasy goal....but they need to play a bit smarter. slow down as they approach the crease so they can react vs being 'ahead of the play'...
  23. dude...THEY WERE BAD TRADES YOU CAN RATIONALIZE THEM ALL YOU WANT WHAT WE TRADED - HOW ARE THEY PERFORMING WHAT THE RETURN WAS - HOW ARE THEY PERFORMING THAT IS HOW YOU EVALUATE SUCK IT UP BUTTERCUP ITS FACT MG IS TERRIBLE AT TRADES if you can't see that i am sorry but you're not convincing anyone who looks at reality is he good at signings sure is he good at winning trades or at least breaking even no friggen way
