I think Minnesota would be a good partner and maybe a dark horse in the sweepstakes. Kesler's Olympic teammates Suter and Parise are there, and we all know management is dedicated to winning after spending that kind of money on those 2 Coyle or Grandlund, Dumba, 1st is enticing

Dude that's my point! They waited longer and got sh!t all. You either trade Kesler now when his value is high, or slowly decrease his value by burning of the remaining years on his contract. If we keep him we'll be at a point where we're either forced to take a couple of future career AHL prospects like the iginla deal or watch him walk away for nothing, which is pretty clear that's his plan in 2 years if he isn't traded.

That would be a huge slap in the face to the fans. Can't just stand pat while the team is on a downwards spiral. If Gillis thinks he can get more for Kesler in a year or 2 when he's a pending ufa then he's delusional.
