that was a blast. More open than most coaches would like but the boys went toe to toe and looked good in so doing. My Scotch was as smooth as Hughes on skates. Merci Nucks.

Wife Left me yesterday, could really use a pick me up win from the boys tonight. Hopefully they destroy Carolina.
That's rough. I was hoping for a win so I could use it as an excuse to drink Scotch on Sunday night. Let's hope we both get a pick me up...

Looking for a big game from Petty and Brock. They can make the difference for us if Demko keeps playing his stellar usual. My only decision tonight will be how old the Scotch should be...Bruce B has bigger choices.

I agree in the feeling, just not the action right now
there are 31 teams that feel the same way
But winning at this point, is more important
That is not to say, that it won't happen, but having someone suspended
to get back at that little turd, would be ill timed.........
Trust me. it is going through more than one players mind!
Just remember what premeditation cost Bertuzzi
Which is why, no one ever gives it back to him.........
But a team can still check him relentlessly, instead of the fly-bys the Nucks seem to do against him. That ligit and warranted, he should have a big target on his back that says check me hard.

While I liked the effort, the game could have easily been a loss, the team seemed rattled by Boston's relentless hits, especially those that were on or over the line. This is typical Boston. They cross the line enough that the reffs start only calling the most egregious, as they want to manage the game. Nucks need a better physical answer, and it's not about inserting goons, it's more about matching physical intensity and protecting each other. I saw no hits on the Rat--even a few fly-bys, that's unacceptably soft IMO and needs to change. I like what I hear from Steamer and wonder what changes are in store.

We had 3 scoring chances on the PK. What is going on
Just need 3 on the PP now...

Bottom line, this team is softer than the Bruins. I hope that's what Stan wants to fix or it's talent on IR come play off time. GCG

Bourbon can be good, but it can't compete with a single malt or a scotch imo
Especially if it's single barrel
There are some awesome blends out there. Have you ever tried mixing an Ardbeg 18 with a Jura 18?

If Pearson, Petty and Boes get going, this team would be more fun to watch. Hoping for a great effort that does not wane after taking a lead. Still too conservative. I vote to take Pearson off the PP and GCG. Show the world that Benning has tow more years to work. Show green the door if he goes under 650 starting with MTL.

Nice to see a lot of Canuck fans in Ottawa jumping up and down cheering for the Canucks, they are more positive than the bandwagon sprained ankles jumpers in B.C. The best sign was "Extend Benning".
Thinking back, my daughter pointed out the best sign. "Poolman makes me wet". He must have some friends in the area.

Indeed, I was one of them, the rink is very hospitable to the competition. So many nucks jerseys and no chirping from sens fans. It was awesome. only half full but no suits with phones...Mind you, the beer and whisky cost me $200.
I hope YVR fans can seem some games like this. The home record and compete is embarrassing...GCG

Two years is too late. You have players that will be becoming UFA's in 18 months. You will loose them for nothing. Or get very little for them at the end of next year. Boeser , Miller and Horvat need to be turned into long term assets this year.
Building an organization you need to maximize your assets .
Or you need to be 100% sure you can sign them . They must fit into a cap structure that allows you to continue to build around.
Are you suggesting we have already missed the window and won't have the cap space to keep a reasonably costed core that can be supplemented with softmores and rentals? I hope this is not the case as I really like some of the inexpensive young additions (hogs and podz). I'd suggest two of Petterson, Pearson or Boes may not be in our short term future and I'm really hoping Bo and Miller can keep the core alive.

For all of those fans who say " Tanking is for losers" .
I would say that not taking time to build a real team and icing what we see right now is far worse. They seem to be happy with never building a team that could compete for a cup.
I think that those who follow that kind of mind set are the true losers. You are willing to except years and years of mediocracy.
The Nucks window is only starting to crack open. I'd say a bit early to throw in the towel. Look at Edmonton's build with the chosen one. How many years has it been with him and many other top picks in the line-up? What about Washington and how long OV worked towards a cup. Looking back: this year I hoped for play-offs, then next year, noise in the play-offs. So far it looks doubtful but not impossible. I agree there is a time to tank. For the Nucks it was 2014 through 2017 and I resent the retool. That said, I still feel good about the team's competitive ability over the next five years--but without Green. We really need a coach that can rally the team for puck drop and improve special teams. So tired of seeing cautious, conservative and static play. He may be a good coach but he still needs to go as a start to shaking the management foundations. Enough country club, get tough, truly build a "hard to play against" identity, get rid of those unwilling to pay the price or get results. If that fails, then I'll command the tank in two years.

That's a huge road trip for a struggling team. I hope they put on a great show for you. I'm expecting the rink will be dead, considering the Ottawa fan base and Melnyk's stupid idea to build the rink as an anchor in suburbia. It epitomizes what's wrong with this world when land developers care nothing about responsible and sustainable development and only making money. I digress. Have a blast, I'll be in the 200s trying to liven things up--feeding drinks to my son and leaning on my DD daughter.

I’m in the unfortunate position of having the Sens, my home city team as my second favourite. Not much joy in Mudville.
But you can't lose tonight. I'll be in the 200s hoping to see your ruckus.

Tired of watching a soft team. I really miss have the likes of Bieksa. This team does not hit and plays way too soft. Fun to play against I'm sure, I hope the Ottawa game will be fun as it's the only occasion I get to watch the team live this year. Do we have any big guys to call up?

That was my Bday game. No complaints other than being sick of Pearson on the PP and still hoping for a coaching change. The Boys would have have a great record if they played that way every night.

so tired of the team's slow start. Cmon Green that's too much of a consistent issue to not address.
so tired of the officials. Soft calls galore until Pitsburg has a good lead and then pocket the whistles in the third, even when there are blatant hooks that would should have been called for general consistency/fairness but no. Wrong team. It's been happening all season. Even Buttman wants Green gone...

Mia culpa, I lost hope after the 1st and started multi-tasking. Boy did the Nucks put me in my place. Nothing surprises any more. This team is now playing with the heart of a lion.
