That's the info he shared with me, Shaky   You would think that open heart surgery would have you in there the night before, wouldn't you? We used to have people come in the night before and give them a sleeping pill to ensure a good night's rest before major surgery. Nowadays it's 'the smallest amount of time spent in hospital the better'. Even to the detriment of patient's well being, sometimes.

a friends dad had it 6 months ago and he was in the hospital for a week before they operated..tests and all sorts of stuff..that was at the RCH which is known as one of the top hospitals for open heart ...crazy...

I'm not positive, but I would think that our friend had a lot of those tests done a couple of months ago when the recommendation for surgery was made (the stents were deemed a 'no-go') and then some last week in prep for the cancelled surgery date
