I have to agree with you, points don't make a captain, character does. We need someone that will put the team above all else and we need that leadership now, not wait and see if Petterson can be it. I heard on the broadcast last night that it would be wise for the Canucks to wait a year to see who steps up, I disagree with that... I think they need the new voice to start the season and build that captain team bond

I wouldn't say no one, Sidissidmeisme was definitely following this youngster. I have been to an extent. It's always cool to see prospects that were once rated real high, stumble into the draft, get picked low and redefine themselves, hopefully he stays on this course. One or two seasons in the AHL and who knows, maybe we have ourselves a good top 9 player from a 6th round pick

Hold on, he just broke the record for most points by a rookie in the SHL and still has another game to add to his total. Plus he past the league leader in points in the same game, all while playing less games. Man I better temper my expectations to AHL starter, not NHL superstar, damn lol

If I were Cull I would be saying the same thing, I don't want to loose my starting goalie to a call up as the playoff push comes. I think Demko is ready to see NHL games, back-up or starter. I just think Cull wants him to get some playoff games in to see how he does under pressure before he deems him ready

That's impressive especially considering the time Jack missed to start the season, one heck of a year for the kid. John Farinacci the only Junior out of the East, that is quite impressive itself. Congrats to both

He's committed to Harvard (I believe) next year, so depending on how he values his education 2 - 4 years I would assume

I'm not saying Vegas would, I just think Vegas has some young players I would rather see in Canucks colors, and they have the cap room to take on their contracts

Is it just me or does Daniels point totals not add up? 16 + 26 = 45? I know I've been out of school a while now, but I think there may be an error

They could also put in a clause that makes the signing team give up a draft pick to the team loosing out on there prospect. This would solve some issues as well

Not sure why everyone is so upset at this Rodin thing... Guy played a couple pre-season games well last year... This year couldn't even stay in the Utica line up, but we should have kept him over players who are NHL'ers. I was hoping for big things, but never happened. Now back to this Dahlen kid! He's a Beaut!

Are you sure? He has a 1998 birthday, everything I can find, though I didn't look to hard says anyone that turns 20 in the year the tournament finishes. Palmu will be 20 in 2018, the year this WJC finishes

It is nice to see Vancouver with more than 1 or 2 prospects that will potentially play in the WJC. Olli, Pettersson, Gradjovich, Lind, Depietro, all 5 would be something. Can't wait for Boxing day Shoot almost forgot about Lockwood, he has a shot with the USA Maybe Palmu as well 14 point in 28 Liiga games, should get him some recognition... 7 players in the WJC would be amazing

Anyone have any idea if he has a shot at making the national team for the Olympics? Would he even be considered or does Finland have some good players in European leagues?
