  1. You're right. I didn't see much at all of Hughes before this summer, and I'm basing my comments on my personal observation. I'm a homer, I guess, and I'm OK with that. Peace.
  2. He's looking good. Man, that wrist shot! Must give goalies the creeps.
  3. Maybe what has taken some people by surprise is the hunger Hughes has for winning hockey games. The guy is a machine. Literally everywhere on the ice. Dahlin too, can skate circles around many players, and has great vision. His size and shot sets him apart, in some aspects, but Hughes is faster and more shifty. I agree though - I would have taken Dahlin 1st. But then I would have taken Hughes 2nd.
  4. Quinn has been the best player on the ice in each game he has played. By far.
  5. First time I've got to see Hughes play. I gotta say - what a talent. He may end up being the best dman in the draft. And yes, I remember the Buffalo guy.
  6. I think Gaudette could very well become our own Datzuk.
  7. Gaudette looked great last night. We've got ourselves a player here.
  8. Great to see Jake becoming an absolute force out there. This guy is going to be one of the best power forwards in the league in a few years.
  9. Boeser Horvat Peterson Leipsic Gaudette Lind Dahlin Gadjovich Virtanen I don’t think many teams are going to be happy facing this in a few years.
  10. First time I got to see Gaudette play. Pretty impressive. As a young centerman, his defence is what really caught my eye. He was always low in the defensive end and taking away passing lanes. Great positioning. When the puck went to the boards, he was on it quick. His offence speaks for itself. Hopefully he will be in Van at the end of the season.
  11. OK. Talent equates to skill. When you say its not really a question of talent level, it really doesn't make sense because it's all about talent level if one wants to make the NHL.
  12. It's not really a question of talent level. Huh?
  13. I'm sooo impressed by Virtanen this year. He is just so fast and his puck control hasn't really suffered at top speed. One thing that has really stood out to me is his passion for the game and he is having fun. Last year he seemed pretty directionless (is that a word?) and unsure of himself. TG has obviously been good for him and as his confidence grows its looking like he could be the power winger we are looking for.
