  1. Ferland hasn't really brought much of either to be honest. Especially tonight. Gaudette will be back in before Mac is. They need his offense on the 2nd PP unit.
  2. Despite the frustrating play after he loses it/turns it over, he's one of the only players generating any offense. Moving him down would be ridiculous. Miller is much more deserving of a temporary demotion to the 3rd line.
  3. Maybe this team looked so good in camp because they were playing against each other. Hard to not look good against this lethargic group.
  4. Petey can't hold McDavid's jock and he never will. Generational talent and a damn good #2 in Leon. Being an Edmonton fan right now would be promising.
  5. This team doesn't deserve to win after the 1st. We'll see how they respond. Minny is likely going to get some calls in the 2nd.
  6. Once again, you've completely misunderstood the point. I'm not sure how else to explain it. Best.
  7. What? Why is this so difficult for you & Deb to understand? See my latest response:
  8. What are you talking about? Your initial point was that at this level, there cannot be human error with refs. I responded with what I just reiterated regarding how that unrealistic and would slow the game down (no human error would require stoppages every 30 seconds max to review all corner play/scrums, etc.) What am I supposed to be answering? Is 2 penalties in 4 minutes slowing the game down? I guess somewhat? No clue what that has to do with the original discussion?
  9. Perfect reffing without human error would require regular play stoppages & reviews for potential penalties. You'd be talking football level of play stoppages. It's not a realistic expectation for refs to get 100% of the calls right 100% of the time, no matter the level. The game was reffed reasonably (in my opinion), but even if you disagree, do you really think that the Canucks deserved to win based on their effort as a team, especially in the 3rd when it was most needed? Reffing did not decide this game, missed call or two had little bearing on the ultimate outcome.
  10. Unless you want a game that slows down significantly due to far more stoppages in play and lengthy reviews, then we can't take human error out of reffing. Until robot refs are created, you won't get perfection. I watched the full game. The reffing was fine.
  11. The reffing was fine last game. Was it slightly one-sided? Sure, but nearly every game is that way as refs are not robots and are subject to human error and missed calls from time to time. The calls on the Canucks were all legitimate, although you may argue a couple were soft. The Canucks also gave away opportunities to have the man advantage due to poor execution/mental breakdowns. It's hilarious that such a large number of fans actually think there's a league-wide conspiracy to call games in favour of the Canucks' opponents regularly.
  12. Fellas have looked solid through the first. Unlucky goal against, but they're outplaying the Jets and generating chances. Good signs.
  13. Team sends it to his agent who prints it, brings it to Lockwood, he signs in wet ink, gives back to agent, agent/his assistant scans it in and sends back to Canucks.
