  1. John Vanbiesbrouck was his name - lost in the entry draft To Florida.
  2. We may be able to fit that if we buy out Sutter and use up some of the LTIR, but that would really depend if Ferland is really out forever. Otherwise, Hoffman plays similar to a left handed Boeser, just worse defensively.
  3. maybe a 3-way trade on this: TB 7th round pick (DET) VAN Tyler Johnson (TB) $500k retained (net $4.5M cap) 2nd Round pick (TB) DET Loui Eriksson (VAN) 1st Round Pick (TB) 5th Round Pick (VAN)
  4. Would absolutely love to help Vegas out by taking Shea Theodore off Vegas' hands if they sign AP... assuming he can play RD. Nate Schmidt I would rather not, as his character doesn't seem to fit.
  5. We should take Johnson + Cernak for Eriksson + Rafferty. Basically cap dump for cap dump and a RHD to replace a RHD. We get our middle-6 forward plus Top 4 D. Sign Cernak to 2 x $3.5m (UFA 2024) Miller Petterson Boeser Pearson Horvat Johnson MacEwen Sutter Gaudette Motte Beagle Virtanen Edler Myers Hughes Cernak Juolevi Benn Holtby Demko
  6. with Tanev, Barrie and Stecher gone. Maybe Benning really needs to explore the Eriksson dump with a 1st ... otherwise we are playing musical chairs and will be left without a chair...
  7. i figure most/all teams would want at least a 1st to absorb the Eriksson contract. A team like Ottawa may want just some warm bodies to fill the roster, and pay less cash overall. Besides, moving Eriksson would be moving cap this year and next year so it helps with signing EP/QH next year as well. Well worth the 1st in my opinion as our 1st would likely be #20+
  8. go all in and offer: Eriksson + Baertschi + 1st (2021) + 1st (2022) for a 7th from Detroit. then give AP 7 x $8.5MM Basically its: AP + 7th and +$866,666 net cap space for Eriksson, Baertschi, 1st, 1st
  9. if markstrom goes, maybe a 2 x $3.25M AAV in a more 1A/1B arrangement.
  10. $95k is an awful lot of money for an x3. I'm not convinced people need almost 500 hp in a small SUV.
  11. Common sense could've told us that...
  12. Troy has bled canucks colours throughout his life, I'm sure they will go back to him once the OEL issues are resolved? he's a great 3rd pair guy.
  13. sounds like another Boeser here... (big shot, slow skating speed)
  14. i think any trade proposal would have to include cap going back (eriksson, baertschi, sutter, roussel) and the perfect fit would likely be Eriksson going the other way (high cap hit, low actual cash). We obtain our D plus our 3rd line centre and add $3MM cap. Arizona gets a LW, RW, D prospect, a 1st and 2nd, and clear $3MM cap space and have room for Barrett Hayden as a full time C. Canucks: OEL, Dvorak ($2.775M, $8M, $925k = $9.7M out, + $12.7M in, = $3M net cap) Arizona: Virtanen, Eriksson, Juolevi or Rathbone, 1st (2021), 2nd (2021) ($12.7M cap out, $9.7M in = -$3M net cap + cash savings for Eriksson).
