  1. What about Brendan Gaunce? I remember the hype and expectations around here for this guy..."maybe next year" etc. For being a big body, he was such a frustrating player and I was hoping for more offense than the putrid numbers he put up... I mean really, the illustrious José Charbonneau, (in his tenure here) has the same career points, in less than half the games
  2. I saw a lot of potential in him, that kid went to the dirty areas, he had decent wheels, and a great wrist shot. I really liked the player.
  3. I really liked the guy, even in the Abby Heat, and I was also hoping to really see him hit his potential...but unfortunately for him, it was hits that did him in...
  4. I remember going to see him as a kid, in the days when he and the Steamer were on the New Westminster Bruins, they were both amazing in my star-struck eyes....very fond memories, and such a sad story for sure
  5. Who cares, just another POS.... Rocky Wirtz can enjoy the rocky dirtz
  6. Wow, this guy is lower than primordial ooze, and there was some amazing restraint shown from the Scottsdale PD, so kudos to them.
  7. Do svidaniya Alex, go back to Rossiya and hang out with that bum Leipsic
  8. Yes, he could use some "Reactine" for his allergies... Maybe then he'll be "Reactine" a little better in his defensive coverages
  9. Canucks Look to Have Struck Gold With Kirill Kudryavtsev (msn.com) The Hockey Writers Follow Canucks Look to Have Struck Gold With Kirill Kudryavtsev Story by Scott Clarke, The Hockey Writers • 33m ago Canucks Look to Have Struck Gold With Kirill Kudryavtsev Love this article from the Hockey Writers today, I'm even more stoked on this kid now. Late round gold is what we never seem to have, hopefully Kudryavtsev is that guy
  10. He's not a quack, he's just nuts *edit - my bad, just saw Cooper beat me to it...so it's a bag-skate for me now*
  11. Yup. Not even close. Burrough's ceiling doesn't even reach Soucy's chin.
  12. A blockbust three-team deal involving Karlsson, Pesce and Myers (canucksdaily.com) TRADE PROPOSAL | Blockbuster three-team deal involving Erik Karlsson, Brett Pesce and Tyler Myers Published July 3, 2023 at 6:42 PM BY FELIP GOSSELIN Share on Facebook Erik Karlsson is a name that's been heavily circulating in the league's most recent trade talks. The Swede recently had an outstanding season and was awarded the Norris Trophy as the league's top defenseman in 2022-2023. Brett Pesce, on the other hand, played a crucial part in the Hurricane's most recent success. However, his deal is nearing an end, and per the recent reports, if the two parties disagreed on an extension, the Hurricanes would be shopping him as soon as July 1st. Karlsson has made it crystal clear that he wishes to join a Cup Contender, and it appears that the race is down to the Hurricanes and the Penguins. The Canuckd, on their end, have poked around on Brett Pesce since he could very well be the defenseman the Canucks need to play alongside Quinn Hughes. A trade proposal has gained lots of traction on social media linking The Sharks, the Hurricanes and the Canucks in what could possibly be the biggest trade of the last 10 years. To Carolina Erik Karlsson (30% Salary Retention in San Jose) To Vancouver Brett Pesce To San Jose Tyler Myers Conor Garland Jack Rathbone 2024 1st Round Selection Carolina 2024 2nd Round Selection Carolina 2025 1st Round Selection Vancouver The Canucks would shed Myers and Garland's contracts, ultimately paying a 1st Rounder and Jack Rathbone to acquire Brett Pesce. 28, Pesce is an RHD who's got size and decent skills. He's on the last season of a deal worth over $24M; the expectation is that his next deal could be somewhere in the $5.5M to $6M range. If the Canucks manage to extend Pesce, this could be a massive win for the team and would definitely switch their ‘retooling status' to playoff contender. A top 4 made of, Hughes-Pesce and Soucy-Hronek, combined with a healthy Thatcher Demko and the explosive offence we already have in Vancouver, the Canucks could aim to do a lot of damage.
  13. Yes, exactly. I purposefully avoided commenting on the previous regime, what with the delicate sensibilities and soft spots that many carry for JB, but I agree, it's mind blowing...
  14. Me either haha. It's amazing and refreshing to see competency in the FO, and changes being made when needed, and being done in the proper way.
