  1. well holy bugaroo...

rather than demand acceptance, we can choose tolerance...

its like this man knows that rome wasn't built in a day... change takes time and you cant force your views onto someone... and then if they disagree shaming them is not the right approach... what a simple and easy to understand concept...

shame hardly ever works as a learning tool... we all have learned don't stick your dogs nose in its shit, or yelling at people in public is not tolerated, it makes people uncomfortable... it should be no different online... many of you will laugh at my dog reference... but their are some simple minded people in this world, 15% have a IQ lower than 85... smart dogs have an estimated IQ of 100...so yeah... maybe you should think before you try forcing your views onto someone, especially not knowing if they have the ability to fully grasp the concepts that you are arguing....

Stop being intolerant and understand change takes time... it takes a very long time... always has... maybe the internet has sped up change, but it still takes time...

a few phrases come to mind... mind your own...treat those how you would want to be treated... and respect your elders...

if you want to be a activist or a contributing member to a movement... do something tangible about it... donate your time, raise funds for charities, raise "positive awareness".

stop flinging mud it only further divides and possibly causes permanent and irreversible damage... have some compassion, you're better than that

Chocolate Chip cookies come in brown bags. They are good, so brown bags must be good too!

Sorry BBP, but bigotry and hatred shouldn’t be tolerated.

sorry alf... expecting people to support ideologies without free will... is never gonna happen... we will have civil war before that happens...

    i do like cookies... though

I cant force rational agents to accept the reasonableness of a belief-that’s on them.

But I can certainly support legal rules and organizational policies that reflect such.  If people feel forced by that-boohoo.  All it does is illustrate their fallibility.

i wish you would re-word this... the sentences don't really tie together...

you support rules and policies that.....reflect reasonableness of a belief?

WTF is going on in this thread?

Some backwards mofos in this place.

The players do not have a choice in what uniform they wear. The employer sets the rules. You don't like it, go play somewhere else. Should be in the code of conduct.

I pointed this out before. The players skate around in Adidas uniforms.  Adidas is known for using sweat shops.

Since they wear those jerseys, does that mean all the players in the league support sweatshops? of course not.

    I know, its a what-aboutism but I don't care.

If you want to have your backwards, sky fairy crap to believe...so be it, but don't bring your ignorance to your work place. Its not where you get to express your 'freedom'. It is where you sign a contract, and get paid to do as directed. It's not just hockey they play , they are also representatives of a pro game which is a business. On and off the ice.  Again, this is why most companies have a code of conduct that must be adhered to.

Stupid f'ing people. So much fear and hate. It's weak and sad to see.

nope.... wrong again...you have the right to express your freedom at any time...including during work...your employer may not like that, and if they deem it interferes with their duties they would have a right to terminate,,, if it was deemed that it was not interfering they would not have the right to force beliefs or ideals... and  that's the truth

you could say the the same thing during the lead up to/during the civil rights movement.

you could say the same thing about the history of women’s rights.

Often people ignorant regarding the fallibility of their beliefs use phrases like “forced” and “pushing it”.

The on-going legalization of gay marriage often reflects similar sentiment.

“Forcing beliefs” itself is a misnomer.  Educating people about the diversity of people within society predicated on fundamental normative concepts of equality and fairness isnt brainwashing.  These are carefully considered positions based on the values listed above.  These positions rationally stand on their own.

As such sports arnt distinct from being a part of society nor is it over bearing to celebrate one of the many aspects of our communities 1 day a year.

if you shame people, for not participating... is that part of the education?

You cant force people... you cant... its impossible... stop expecting the impossible...

Again, not including the entire context.

It's OK, I get it. This lgbtq thing is new. Within the last few years. Before they were just called homosexuals.

That's clearly what I meant. This force it down your throat movement is the bane of our society. Pushing it on our children, every new tv show has dudes making out.

    Nobody wants to see that.

Sports is supposed to be a release from all that media pushing stuff and political garbage but now its everywhere.

I have no issue with two men making out on tv... i will change the channel if its over bearing ...

also i guess that gay or bi-sexual men probably enjoy it. i'm guessing some women might even like it too.

it seems companies support these movements because it cheap advertising... make no mistake... in a capitalist world its always about the money...

Political movements are here to stay and will only increase in volume....

but forcing support i dont agree with... anyways its your dollar.. spend it how you want

  8. anyways... tempers are raised... im not even get started... i have stated enough of my arguments in this thread... no need for me to participate on a day like this..

as for some of you being very clearly sending a message of intolerance the LGBTQ and sending bad vibes.... I will give the same treatment that i always do to people that are toxic.... these homophobic remarks do not belong on this thread....

the thought of gay marriage is also a ideal, made by man.... written thousands of years ago...  when families needed several children to populate the world... which is no longer the case and is an antiquated thought...

it may be a problem if homosexuality continues to becomes much more popular... currnetly 10% of Gen Z identify as LGBTQ... and historically they have very few children

  9. @DeNiro @Shayster007 i apologize i assumed we were having a civil conversation before i entered... if you were getting triggered because of some obvious hate... which i agree know that was homophobic... i understand why you may have been using these words... my apologies...

I want you to know, i hope the best for the pride movement... just dont think it can be forced onto anyone

Painfully obvious to people who have a limited view of the world and box everything into liberal and conservative issues sure.

insulting my intelligence, how quaint... i would say you are in the vast minority in thinking this is not an political or idealistic view of thinking....

anyways... forcing idealistic views on people when has that ever gone wrong in history.....

  11. anyways this is only a good thing.. forcing people to believe a certain way is backwards... you can disagree all you want, thats your right... just like its these boys right to not want to wear a rainbow in support of something...

they can respect the message, but i believe its the flag that bothers them... hence removing the rainbow and keeping the message.

Like I said earlier in this thread... You cannot force an ideology down someone's throat... which is exactly what this is...

i have given you evidence why forcing this ideology on to people wont work... I have given you evidence on why shaming these people that do not agree with your ideology, does not work...

How do you plan on achieving this idealic state? Jail? deportation? because shame is not working.... which i hate to say.... but i told you so.

Funny how people on the other side of this issue throw around the terms “snowflake” and “Karen” yet they’re the biggest snowflake Karen’s around!

Like why would you care if other people are fighting for equal rights? Does it affect your life? Who cares if you don’t agree with it.

Move on! Not every issue needs your “expert” input on it. Not everything needs some self righteous anti social justice warriors to fight for free speech…

when have they used that terms? cause i dont think anybody has...

I've yet to see anything from Kuz that would lead me to believe he's any worse defensively than Miller, Boeser, Garland eyc

you got better eyes that our head coach, assistant coaches, scouts, game footage video editor? its possible i suppose.

you must have ESPN2 knowing exactly the systems that tocchet is running. I assume having knowledge of his systems gives you the ability to judge Kuz is just as good or better than those players you mentioned.
