Bad_BOI_pete replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Canucks Talk
my favorite complaint about benning is spending to the cap every year, and then in the same sentence they complain that jim didn't spend to the cap to get toffoli markstrom and tanev. hindsight -

i hate his questions, but Miller has not been happy, He hates losing. did you see his faceoff last week, where he literally just stood there and watched? -

i am saying you are wrong to think we will get a top notch 3rd line center for less than 3m. maybe we can get a 35+ vet or someone like grigorenko, glendenning, czikas for less -

paul stastny, jordan staal, JT Miller, Tyler Bozak, anthony cirelli making near 5M. these players are or were 3rd line centers. i would say the majority of teams have a 3RD line center making 3M+ -

EP,QH 4 forwards, at Least 1 Defenceman and about 6 depth forwards/defenceman (3 of the 6 will be buried) 19.3 million or 24.8m with buying out virtanen and Beagle on LTIR. we may be able to sign a 3M center and a 4M D-man and the rest will have to average around a mill. -

you know what, maybe you get what you wish for. If he is replaced, I hope his replacement is up to par. Remember our owners are not too keen on paying top dollars for management -

I'm glad Jim did the right thing to let him be with his family, Not all bosses have that kind of empathy. Maybe Jim isn't such a bad communicator after all. -

those are words, but i have no idea what you are trying to parley. he didn't get to say something? and he's a fool for that? I'm pretty sure Button is pretty revered around here for his honesty, and his top notch scouting ability. -

lol thats funny, he is going to do his best to make this a playoff team not a cup winning team. I'm sure dollar for dollar thats the best bang for your buck. Maybe when the team is closer they will spend more money on management. -

Sedins brought into, remind the players that money isn't everything, show them how to be active leaders in the community. Goes to show their commitment to this team and City is lifelong. -

I am glad he gets to see another chance. this Season was a nightmare for him. Weisbrod and Jim have their work cutout for them. They have have about 14 contracts to sign, not including coaching staff. -
after looking at these past games, I love rathbone, he so fast with the puck. we can actually cycle!. Boyd doesn't look bad either. quinn and rathbone will really help us with possessions, and wait till ep40 comes back. i'm really interested in where we will spend our last cap dollars, next year 4 forwards to re-sign/replace maybe 5 with motte being picked in expansion draft resign QH and EP Juolevi Sign at Least 1 Ufa Dman Re-Sign/Replace about 6 Depth D and Forwards total do we run with the 3 kids on D? maybe QH and EP 40 do a 1 year deal at around 6m each? if we buyout jake thats like 24.8M for all of the above about 2.1-3m for depth forwards and D. the other contracts will be buried 12-14m For ep and qh 4-5.5M for 2 D-Men 5-6.5M for 4 forwards

only takes about 1 click to check my numbers. here were my minimums i lowered them to include anyone who played 10 or more games and 1+SH minutes TOI PG. he then improves to 2nd. I'm not discluding many players here, just the ones who aren't regulars. when you lower it to 0.5 a minute and 5GP he becomes 7th worst, 3 of those players played less than 10x as many minutes as Hamonic. http://www.nhl.com/stats/skaters?aggregate=0&report=penaltykill&reportType=season&seasonFrom=20202021&seasonTo=20202021&gameType=2&position=D&filter=gamesPlayed,gte,10&filter=shTimeOnIcePerGame,gte,1&sort=ppGoalsAgainstPer60&page=0&pageSize=50 http://www.nhl.com/stats/skaters?aggregate=0&report=penaltykill&reportType=season&seasonFrom=20202021&seasonTo=20202021&gameType=2&position=D&filter=gamesPlayed,gte,5&filter=shTimeOnIcePerGame,gte,0.5&sort=ppGoalsAgainstPer60&page=0&pageSize=50

he might, and i also expect some growing pains. Hes made some nice defensive plays but also a few very concerning defensive plays too. I believe he can get there, but expect a few mishaps. Hamonic leads the league in shorthanded scoring against, in a bad way. also Having 2 players unable to kill a penalty on your D spells trouble
