I couldn't agree more. Myers by far more than any other player single handedly lost the Canucks so many games it was absolutely maddening! It's shocking and laughable that some fans think at a lesser contract Myers would be fine in a limited role doing some pk work lol The guy is an absolute disaster defensively and makes so many mistakes he made OEL look alright. On the PK Myers especially got worked badly it was like being down a man and a half lumbering around like a huge pylon, screening the goalie and leaving too much time and space for opposing stars their way with our goalies. If they can find a new home this would make the team much stronger overall and leave less weaknesses for the opposing teams to expose and would go a long way at making the playoffs which I think they definitely will especially without Myers killing them.

Great additions to the defense with Hronek, Soucy and Cole not only offensively and defensively with Hronek the penalty kill should be way better and with Mikheyev and Blueger at forward on the PK and full season of Demko I see big and great things coming! Thinking it couldn't have been too hard to talk Cole into playing with Hughes and Soucy with Hronek in front of Demko lol Also guaranteed Demko is probably celbrating the additions including great coaching and has absolutely loved the defense and penalty kill being completely turned around from a horrible negative to now I think a very strong mix!

We absolutely can't have Martin over Silovs next season his extremely weak goaltending could end up costing the team a playoff spot.

I would've liked Gudas as a Canuck, he brings a hard heavy game and is better than given credit for but 2.5 at most

As much as I'd absolutely love to not see Myers's horrible defense in a Canucks uniform again its been a long painful problem I absolutely don't want us to give them Hoglander or any other good prospect we have.

I'd consider Dumba If the price is right I believe he's got real potential to bounce back offensively with the elite player's we have he'd play with and he's a real competitor with great mobility and plays real hard. Considering all that and we don't have to give up Hoglander or any other of the few prospects we have so I'd like a show me deal here. Also the less Myers the better.

Getting a top elite RHD the teams biggest weakness that absolutely killed the team for years especially because Myers played all his minutes and something extremely rare and in very high demand across the league was a great deal for the organization! It's not like they gave up a top 5 or 10 pick either and there's a good chance whoever they took would take many years when nows the time with.this core and who knows if that 1st rd pick even becomes a decent player at some point. Here you got a proven RHD with big upside already there's no waiting and hoping that in the crapshoot draft here he's the real deal. Also what kind of foolish mindset thinking we don't want more elite star players vecause they're too expensive!? Lol that argument is absolutely ridiculous and foolishness at the highest level. The way I see it, it's only the annoying haters and constant complainers who are just dying to whine and complain and feel sorry for themselves that are bashing this trade. This team is far better than their record was last season and Hronek will not only make them much stronger but will also be replacing the teams biggest detriment Myers so it's double good and will also help the disastrous penalty kill which will also make a big difference for them. Now a 3rd line centre and a healthy Mikheyev and a couple other good tweaks and young players getting better with great coaching and time this team will only be going up for years to come and will be much better than all the Negative Nancy's love to claim.

Bains is a very complete player who is very intelligent and has the skill to match he'll definitely play in the NHL. I also definitely see a spot for Klimovich one day he has the skills and talent needed and will be big and strong but have the speed needed and seems to have a great attitude.

Agreed and u see Klimovich definitely being a Vancouver Canuck in the future he has a lot of skill and tools needed.

Can't believe they chose to start Martin after watching how shaky he looks, his horrible rebound control and that bad weak 2nd goal he allowed last game. You can even see the players play better knowing he isn't going to come anywhere close to matching Wolf.

With every foolish thing you say you just keep proving that you either have 0 hockey sense or drugs have really taken the toll on you. Hughes is nothing special defensively!? Hughes by far the best defender we have the guy is a wizard offensively and defensively you rarely ever see the opposition score when he's on the ice! Vs Myers who's pretty much on the ice for half the teams goals against lol Like seriously OEL is better defensively than Myers and makes far less mistakes. He'll just watch the goal against the Flames where Myers tries to make a stupid pass across the blueline where it easily gets picked off and then Myers absolutely embarrasses himself at the highest level as he tries to make up for it horribly out of position getting beat like a rented mule and ending up falling all over as the Flames score lol That goal was a microcosm of Myers career you never see a NHL defensemen look that bad lol Anyway you go ahead and watch how the organization finally gets rid of Myers they've been trying to trade him for years as the media has found out.

How could anyone in their right mind criticize Hughes and praise Myers and then have the lack of sense to try to prove that absolutely ridiculous take lol Your hockey sense is about as pathetic as Myers defensive game and his huge embarrassing offensive output 1 goal per season. Most every fan even the casual fan knows that Myers is a big time liability and the media mention how bad he is and how bad they need to get rid of him and then there's just you trying to defend maybe the worst signing and defenseman in Canucks history hahaha Myers makes more mistakes on goals against than OEL and the rest of the defensemen do put together! You must be Myers himself nobody could be that delusional lol

Wtf are you talking about dude you think thats crying pointing out the obvious that anyone with any hockey sense could see that Myers is a complete liability his Canucks tenure and the teams biggest weakness. Lol you are the one crying going on and on like your Myers mother. Honestly anyone who watches the Canucks and thinks Myers is even half decent or not a big liability that makes way too many mistakes and kills the teams chances far too often it's a complete waste of my time.

I'm glad they've kept Boeser in a great position with Miller and the top powerplay to pad Boesers stats and his teammates and opportunities has really boosted his trade value so I can totally see teams wanting Boeser and the Canucks not having to give up picks or prospects to unload him. I'm definitely not in favor of losing great young talented players with potential like Hoglander and Rathbone or picks to move these guys. On OEL there's no way teams take him without us giving up too much and paired with Hronek and him being healthy I see OEL playing adequate hockey and really don't think he's that bad especially compared to Myers. I'd say Myers screws up 4 times more than OEL and once he's gone and Hronek is a full timer we're going to see a very solid defense especially if Johansson plays and plays as good as his potential on the right side. I'd be happy with this next season: Hughes - Bear OEL - Hronek Ratbone/Dermott - Johansson or any solid additions to this group. This group imo has a lot of potential especiallybeing taught by this great coaching staff. As for Garland I'd be OK if they kept him I feel like his trade value will never be lower than now and that there's hope for him and although he hasn't produced to his potential I still feel like he plays a good game with his linemates and could still be very good for us. I'd give him until next trade deadline or so to see if he could get some chemistry with higher end linemates. As far as Myers goes there's absolutely no way management or coaches want him back any fool could see that he's the Canucks biggest weakness by far contributing big time to many of their losses.
