  1. On the bright side we're like 14 or 15 straight games with atleast a point!
  2. This team has as good a chance as any to win the Memorial Cup this year...but as we all know anything can happen. Remember in 2009 everyone was saying Calgary was a shoe-in to win the WHL and was rated #1 in the CHL. They swept 3 straight playoff series to get to the Finals before losing to the Rockets in 6 Games. Or how about 2004 the Silvertips coming back from 0-3 down in the WCF to beat out the Rockets in 7. Junior hockey is very unpredictable. Yet this team feels a lot like the 2003 or 2009 team. I could see us winning the WHL and Memorial Cup this year. But we can't get a head of our selves. How bout last night?? Rockets outshot PA 32-8 through the opening 40 minutes and 44-18 overall!
  3. Well I'm glad we're playing Portland at home and not on the road 4 games from now...
  4. Last year the Portland Winterhawks had a 19 game consec home winning streak. Rockets become the first team in 17 years to win 20 in a row. But 2 of the next 5 are against the Winterhawks so should be tough to keep the streak going now!
  5. Carter Rigby with back to back hat tricks too! Last player to do that for Kelowna: Jamie Benn
  6. No WHL team has won 20 consecutive home games in 17 years.... Come on Kelowna!
  7. Tough task tonight with no Bell in the lineup. Hopefully we pull it off but I wish this was a road game not a home game...
  8. That's pretty much what I had in mind when I wrote that. Throw in the Vancouver Grizzlies as well.
  9. Go Houston! edit Not a Texans fan but I dislike the Patriots...which means the Pats probably win this weekend....
  10. Maybe he just hates me? Packers and Seahawks are my two favorite teams
  11. God hates teams from the North West
  12. Home ice will be huge. Hope we can keep that 2nd seed. Unfortunately we're a very mediocre road team. That could come back to haunt us.
  13. Yeah the big hurdle is Portland. How can anyone beat them in a 7 game series? Though if any team can do it I think its Kelowna. What happens when two teams meet up one both on huge winning streaks with the best stats in the WHL? Someone has to win. Could easily go both ways imo.
  14. Rockets own the Royals tonight 6-1. Combined with Kamloops loss the Rockets take over sole possession of 1st in the division. After the Blazers 17 game unbeaten streak to start the season this task seemed almost impossible.
  15. Probably cuz Teebow was on the team
  16. Well my two favorite teams survived Go Packers and Go Seahawks!
  17. Rockets take over the division with an 8-4 win over PG last night! Wooo keep the wins coming Kelowna!
  18. Kelowna finally cracks CHL Top 10. Ranked 8th by the panel of NHL scouts. Hopefully they'll remain in the top 10 now for the rest of the season. http://www.chl.ca/article/chl-announces-bmo-chl-top-10-rankings_135123
  19. Lower body injury 3 or 4 games ago. Actually we were 4-0 on the Alberta road trip before Christmas and Cooke and Whistle got hurt and the Rockets had to play their back up back up in Calgary, though they lost he became the youngest goalie ever to play a WHL game. So still kind of a cool thing.
  20. What a game! Now the Rockets are only 4 points back with 3 games in hand! Make em count Rockets! First game of the season for me tonight glad to be home for the holidays
  21. Every Wednesday the CHL releases their top 10 CHL teams and then three or four more honourable mention teams. Kinda the best teams in the league currently. Kelowna's been one of the hottest teams in the league for like 4 weeks now. They were 9-1-0 and 8-2-0 the last two times the CHL released the top 10, plus the set a franchise record for 12 straight wins at home, they have the 2nd best goals for and goals against next to Portland in the league and after Kamloops amazing start to the season Kelowna is 6 points back with 3 games in hand...and their are 4 teams from the WHL in the top 10 right now and Kelowna is just as good as any of them. Yet we keep getting overlooked.
  22. Still no respect though from the CHL top 10. Should be getting honourable mention at least sometime soon.
  23. Making ground on the Blazers...who would have thought after the 17 game mark the division would be even close
