I guess i should of read the article first. Misleading title.... The question is if he is done as an "elite" offensive player... I would say there's a very good chance of that being true. I would consititute an elite offensive player as someone who can put up a PPG and absolutely his days as those are done.

Well we all know what Gillis will say the next time he is interviewed.. "Its been a weird year with all the injuries, we haven't had a full healthy roster, its a transition year with the addition of a new coach, its hard to make trades in this day and age, im on the phone everyday making calls" excuse, excuse, excuse. I really didn't have high hopes this year so im not shocked with how the team is fairing but i am shocked at how quickly and how poor Daniel Sedin has played/ is playing. God those new contract are looking ???? awful right now. Im not that worried about Henrik but Daniel yikes.

What has happened with this PP tho.. Is it the lack of a true PP QB in Ehrhoff? Im hard pressed to think that's the only problem.. We shouldn't be this bad.. Players having career years and now back on a more average pace? Sure part of the reason but again i don't see how were this bad.

Well a couple more games than i expected but what's done is done. He certainly deserved the suspension and in the end i really don't see this impacting the games he misses whatsoever. If this brings the team together more job well done torts, otherwise who cares.

Hard to tell if it was all Torts blowing a fuse or a little theatrics mixed in as well. Trying to create an atmosphere of every player and coach having each others backs. Hard nosed, hard working team. Rangers fans certainly feel that was a big reason why that 11/12 team was so successful.

Not the first time someone's done that and not going to be the last. Im sure if someone wants to start digging Torts has done the same. IMO there is no doubt in my mind Hartley send those guys out there to set the tone and Torts being who he is was not going to back down... and away we went. Not a big deal. Torts crossed the line going into the dressing room, he knows it and will have to face the consequences.

I think he'll get somewhere between a 2-4 game suspension and a hefty fine. 50K. Not the end of the world. Gulutzen and Sullivan will step in and i doubt we even notice a difference. We have a fairly easy schedual the next 4 games.

Torts is definately gone for a couple games IMO.. Doesn't need to be said but he obviously went way to far. As entertaining as this was enough is enough. We don't need to become a circus act. Frustration of the last few games definately added to his blow up, im sure he knows he was in the wrong and i don't expect him to say too much in the post game presser.

Oh well. Games like these happen. This team is a average - above average team, clearly not good enough to compete in the playoffs against the west. Not as bad as tonight indicated but not a great team at all. I didn't expect much this season and i must say it feels nice to not be raging right now as i may of previously done so in the past. At this point id much rather see this team get as low of a draft pick as possible and see what next year brings.

Kinda hard when the GM hands out NTC's like candy. Lets be honest who are we going to trade that is going to bring anyone of any decent substance back. No one wants to trade Tanev but you gotta wonder if it will be explored especially when considering we have Corrado who looks close to a full-time player. If MG is true to his word lol he won't ask a player with a NTC to waive... Schroeder? he's not bring you back a roster player unless its another 3rd/4th liner gasp on a lousy contract.

Tommy's a beauty!! Loved that period, sure we were on the PK for half of it but like everyone's been saying when your PK is #1 you can afford to take a couple chances. I have no doubt that Torts pretty well told Sestito to go out there and fight Nolan.
