We have cap room coming up to keep all three.  Need to buy out Stillman and (if healthy) Poolman.  But the cap is there.  Bo and Kuz are already taking up 6 mil.  So if Bo goes to 7.5 and Kuz to 5.5 then that’s only 7 added to what they are getting now. Hell, trading Garland (ad a full dumperoo) clears 5.  Lots of room.  IMHAO we do bring back Miller, Bo, and Kuz Missile.

Hope we can work it out.

  2. Miller would fit Boston perfectly. His attitude at times makes me feel he’d fit in well next to Marchand.

If a trade was to happen, I wouldn’t be worried about the return, I’d be worried that it wouldn’t happen.

We need that change in attitude and the cap to keep Bo and Kuz. Keep Miller or keep Bo & Kuz? Horrible to think it might be the case here with where we are as a team - and in the standings.

  3. I say yes.

What makes all this difficult is Miller and the amount he counts against the cap.
we should be building around Pettersson, Hughes, Horvat and Demko in my opinion.

Having Miller here is good but it makes it hard to keep Bo and Kuzmenko around. Guys we should definitely keep arould for as long as we can.

Moving other contracts can free up space to keep these guys but it will still limit our chances to build around the core so I still think keeping Miller around is the biggest issue. Not his on-ice performance but it makes many other moves way too hard to manouver.

Moving Pearson, Myers, OEL, Boeser, Poolman is a start. Keeping Miller was a strange and bad idea when they signed and even more so now when you see Petey, Bo, Mikheyev and Kuzy and what they bring right now. Miller would be scoring more too (like Bo) if this was his contract year.

  4. He is on pace for 50+ points this season. I’m not all that worried if in fact he is not playing well enough and so on.

The team is outside the playoffs at this time and he’s production is ok, not great. We all know he can be better and he still manages to produce well enough all things concidered.

I’d look to move Garland rather than Boeser to get some cap flexibility.

  5. What is going on Neely? This outcome must have been clear as day. I’m sure quite a few people warned him and Don about this in advance.

This latest change is more of a joke really. They need to know what they are doing and stick to the plan. Now they look like a bunch of w*****, as Günther Steiner would say.

Of course you need to  own up to mistakes in the business world but first you make a plan, decide on the path, do it and if it doesnt work out you cut it. But not the next day.

If you do you need to move to the door and prepare for the axing.

  6. What a first period again for the team. Second was so-so. But as we all saw in the third, nothing. That was horrible. Once again all momentum and confidece gone after the first 3 minutes at the start of the third.

We really need Boeser and Lazar back just to fill the holes we got plugged with AHL. We need one more decent line that can put real pressure on the opposition.

Oh, and we need about 4-5 defencemen too and some positivity for Demko, he looks sad and angry like no-one before.
