  1. I think the decision is a farce and it leads to a lack of credibility. I am an outspoken hater of the UFC. I do not hide that at all. I'm a huge fan of MMA and I'm not afraid to say that the UFC at this moment is the best we have as product goes. But I don't think that crapty decisions are at all good for the sport. It doesn't make me want to see a rematch. I really feel ripped off as a fan. There is no such thing as a moral victory. Either you win or you lose. At this moment in time. I feel like I lost. I feel like I lost a little more faith in the sport I love so much. I'll ask you simply. If the canucks scored only one goal in a game 7 against the reigning penguins for the stanley cup finals would you say they don't deserve the title?
  2. Actually he did what was required to win the title. You can not take other matches into consideration when judging a fight. You judge what is put in front of you. The title means nothing when you are judging a contest. The fight is all you are judging. Nothing more and nothing less. That's why this is such an injustice. This was Shogun winning in every conceivable way within the fight. Adding in it was for a belt, and that is why he didn't win is a joke. There is no benefit of the doubt positioning. This wasn't a draw and the champ gets to keep the belt. This was a win for Shogun and he was denied the belt. This is like a guy sliding into first and getting there first. Then the first base ump says well since the first baser is a golden glover you're out.
  3. There was also a clear cut winner in the fight. That's the problem here. The look of impropriety is glaring.
  4. I only know 4 people who saw machida winning. Three of them were judges and the fourth is my brother who is a contrarian and didn't watch the fight with me and will argue anything so he can hear the sound of his voice. :D
  5. I know what you are saying. I just think it is flawed logic. There seemed to be absolutely no question in anyones minds who watched the fight about who won. That isn't because it was so close it was hard to measure. It's because it was so clearly obvious who had won. Some people made a point in pointing to Joe Rogans commentary as swaying the opinions. But there is a small flaw in that. The people that booed in the arena didn't have the commentary going on to sway their positions. It was a decisive win by shogun, by any measure. Hit percentage, damage, octagon control, and who pushed the pace. All were in Mauricio's favour.
  6. Ask yourself this question if you don't think it was enough to win. Do you think there would be this outcry if Machida had lost?
  7. Really? So you think that not winning by enough means you should lose. I am just trying to clarify this. As the fightmetrics that Hordichuk posted. It was quite one sided.
  8. Not bad, by the time you get to college your writing will be more refined and these will be top notch. Keep up the good work. Just kidding. You're already top notch.
  9. completely bought off. Dana white strikes again.
  10. One of my favorite little tidbits of info I have seen in a long time. It's from last January and I am pretty sure I posted it here before. But it's cool regardless so I'll repost it.
  11. I'm not saying Machida won't win this fight. I'm not one to call fights. I could care less who wins as long as it's a good fight. What you saw with Shogun in his loss in the UFC with Forrest, came because he had never fought in the octagon and the new rules and he was trying to hold back from what he normally does. If you watch it again you can see in the first round he takes forrest down and wants to finish him off with some knees to the head and or some head stomps. But then ends up having to back off. Those are the rules and he has to follow them, but it explains why he looked so tentative the whole time. He had so much muscle memory of fighting under the Pride rules that he had to rethink every one of his moves. As for his loss against Coleman. They fight for 40 seconds it's all Shogun, Coleman manages to wrap his legs up with his arms while he's pulling away, the guy fell awkwardly and broke his arm. That was the fight. It wasn't a fight where Shogun was fighting badly and got beaten badly. It was a freak fall. Hardly showing him going downhill in his fighting ability. He'll be fine against Machida.
  12. Anyone been to Schanks to watch the fights?
  13. Rashad Evans was twice the fighter of Shogun? Obviously you have only seen the UFC fights Shogun was in. Shogun was one of the most dominant fighters in the game for about 6 years. He's fought a who's who of the elite MMA fighters in the world and come out pretty well. I can not say the same for Rashad. Rashad has fought a couple of good guys and I'm not saying he's a bad fighter. But he is not Shogun by any stretch. The chart doesn't cut and paste well so I am just pointing you to a link. http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Mauricio-Rua-5707 Damn it I just watched this and man do I miss Pride. It was so much better with head stomps and soccer kicks.
  14. ufc 104 in two days and I'm actually finally looking forward to seeing a fight. Shogun and Machida should be interesting.
  15. Worked like a charm then :) +1 view to you

  16. Hendo admitted he knew he was out and was did it with malintent. That's one of the things that makes him awesome.
  17. I'll PM it to you. But you have to promise to post an honest review of its hilarity. This is an old video and it's hard to find. Matt Lindland posted that video If I remember correctly
  18. Have you seen the video? If not it's a highlight video. But not the highlights he was hoping for. LOL
  19. New York bad donkey strikes again. For the guys who don't really have a background on him. Go to google and type in Phil Baroni infamous video. You'll love it.
  20. Gsp doesn't walk around at 185 He walks around between 195 and 205. His fight weight is around 185 if not more.
  21. Vitor hasn't been the same fighter since his sister was abducted and murdered. He's had head issues and has fought in a ton of other promotions. He is only now beginning to look good again. But not nearly the fighter he was 10 years ago before the incident with his sister. Hopefully he stays on track and does some consistent winning.
