Ok, what's everybody's pregame meal tonight?

I've got a beef roast, potatoes, and bread in the oven, and carrots and gravy on top of the stove.

Guiness and then Appleton's as Petey and Quinn hook up for a bushel of points tonight and seal the W.

    Go Bo Go!

My own caught halibut on the bb .. lots of butter garlic and black pepper, blanched spinach..... bottle of Sancerre and shot of iced vodka for every Canucks goal

Wasn't it Hebert who called that atrocious penalty on Demko in Vancouver?

Who gives a crap who boeser wants as coach?  Its not up to them.

Boeser was awful last night.... 0 hits 0 blocks only 2 shots and minus 2 on the night.... he's a floater, slow but used to have a good wrist shot. He doesn't back check and is not strong on the boards. Phew... what to do?

Has to be this if we're really looking at a GM change (or more, like a President of Hockey Operations or restructuring the whole organization).  Boudreau, Julien, Babcock and all the usual suspects will still be available in a few months' time if that's what the new GM wants.  Hopefully we can do better, though.

    Boudreau

Green needs to be replaced immediately.

    Benning replaced In the offseason.

Demko, Horvat, Hughes should be the core with everyone else on the table.
OEL is here to stay, for better or worse.

That’s the carrots, celery, and onions base of a team. We just need to trade until we find top talent that is actually consistently top end.

Hughes gave that beautiful pass..... to set up the Penguins goal....LOL

    Here is some perscpective:

Our Special teams are -14.  We have 9 PP goals, 23 PK goals against.  Aside for MTl and AZ, not other team is worse than -4.

Our 5x5 is -2, which is pretty OK if you consider we have been chasing nearly every game.

We are in a battle for the basement in the West.  Lets say our combined special teams we -4, which would be 4th worst in the entire league, we get 10 goals back, over half a goal a game.  I feel we would be right in the mix for a playoff spot.

I was at the game last night.  The performance from EP was the worst I have ever seen.  He looks like Bambi out there, he must have fallen 15 times.  Why the F will he and Boeser not shoot the damn puck.

I usually don't have many strong opinions here, but change is overdue.  Start with Green, they need a new voice badly.

Yeah, the echo chamber that has made this forum has made it boring but this coming together, will force some changes - hopefully for the better & long term.

This is a perfect time, for Aqauman to bring in a consultant or a new POH with a track record or he & his friends can figure this out....

What are the Sedins doing anyway?

I'd prefer to give Shaw a shot. He's younger than the likes of Boudreau and Julien, who aren't really in demand anymore, and he's widely regarded as an intelligent and thorough hockey mind. He had half a year of head coach experience back in 2006 for the Islanders. I think his experience makes him a prime candidate for the role.

Hunt? I'd rather not have him as a head coach.

No more experiments... get someone with proven success.

Brad Shaw who’s already with the organization. He was head coach for the Islanders for half a season in 2006. After that he’s been an assistant coach focusing on defense with both St Louis and Columbus.

He was the coach that developed Pietrangelo, Parayko, and Dunn amongst others for the Blues, and did wonders with Werenski, Jones and others in Columbus. His strategies were integral in the Blue Jackets shutting down the Lightning. Plenty of people in the NHL talk glowingly about how intelligent and strategic Shaw is.

If there’s an assistant coach who’s primed to make the jump to head coach, I’d have to think it’s Shaw.

Would that not just be a continuation of the same sht sho

again with the dumping and chasing.  That is the primary means of gaining the zone for every team in the league, not just the Canucks.  If you try to force a carry into the zone and a play isn'ytt there, you've just turned the puck over on an odd man rush the other way.

Yes, OK, but when you dump it you have to have players entering at speed to get control otherwise it just hands the puck to the defending players.
