  1. is it me or does it seem like we have taken a lot of penalties late in the third that have either halted a comeback or caused a loss?
  2. owners do not want to pay more salary. Green is gone for sure at the end of the year.
  3. the last 2 minutes of the second pretty much showed that the nucks were going to be overwhelmed in the 3rd. too many guys not able to contribute anything of value on the ice. Cannot see Green getting canned this shortened season but hard to think he will be back next year unless this team dramatically starts playing better. Playoffs are not going to happen.
  4. This is the coaches fault. Wheeler, Dubois and Sch against EP, Brock and Hughes - give me a break! Mismatch city
  5. People look at it this way. If it was a regular 82 game season right now we would be half done the season. I believe there are 41 games remaining. In that other universe at this moment 'at the halfway mark' we are still in the running for a playoff spot with half the season done.
  6. the room just got brighter - think it might be all those TV's being turned off. This team is just not focused.
  7. The first time I watched Burr play yeah he was on the 4th line but he didn't look like a plug at all - there clearly was talent there. A plug in my definition is someone who can easily be replaced and has a skill set that makes even 3rd line a stretch. He took the long road but you gotta be very skilled to do so.
  8. I would assume that most people know that since we are a month into 2021 that 2021 is a projection. Most gov'ts make projections/estimates for deaths. This is not something conspiratorial or agenda driven. Does not 'include impacts' does not mean that all Covid deaths were left out what it does mean is that as Stats Canada explains that data collection was hampered, delayed or missing due to lockdowns and so forth. So yes death data is missing as it is every year. It doesn't mean that all Covid deaths are excluded and that the rate will blow up when added. If you go on Stats Canada you can see for yourself where some data has not been collected.
  9. Other sites looking at deaths rates for Canada contain the same numbers which means more than likely from a central source - the Canadian gov't. You are trying to suggest that because it is Macrotrends that it is unreliable which is of course disingenuous. I agree looking at mortality rate involves putting it in context which naturally involves more than just the past few years.
  10. Bad all areas, but only a few guys are getting scoring chances. Sven should be getting a look.
  11. Well, I hope you feel better soon. Would be very wise to stay away from this forum for a while and the computer for that matter.
  12. Is it really? The first problem with your 'thought' is you present an obvious false dichotomy. As for disagreeing with my points I somehow doubt you could articulate them correctly. To help you though I would say that I agree strongly with the approach advocated by Dr. Henry. Glad as a person who just graduated from university that you 'get' that people need to work to survive. This basic reality pre-dates capitalism by the way - how old is modern man/woman - 200,000 years old? It was reported in the US this week that 8,000,000 people fell into poverty the past few months. So your false dichotomy of survive based on money or see loved ones die doesn't make sense at all for a lot of people. They are probably sick of people too.
  13. This isn’t thought out very well. As you said you are tired.
