  1. Brady has less yards per attempt. 7.86 > 7.79.
  2. Arian Foster plays for the Seahawks now?
  3. Oh. The Playoffs are the exact same monster as the regular season? I'm not saying that it could only work against Seattle. Washington and Minnesota as well. Especially "Hot" teams that are short on playoff experience. Remember how hot the Saints were going into the playoffs last year? Or Detroit?
  4. Every year there seems to be a team or 2 that is red hot going into the playoffs and simply hits a wall once in the playoffs. It's a completely different monster.
  5. As a Rams fan, I am built to hate the Sh*thawks. But I really like the evolution that is starting in the NFL this year. Looking at what RG3 and Wilson have been able to do running offences that have been traditionally kept out of the pros. The Read option stuff as a base for your offence is fantastic stuff if you have a QB like these guys, and College is littered with them 5 years ago an option QB would hope to be converted to WR to have a chance of making it in the pros (and there are many of them; Brad Smith, Josh Cribbs, Julien Edilman, Antwan Randle El). Now it seems that more and more coaches are willing to adapt their offence around these guys instead of forcing them to adapt to becomming the "normal" NFL QB. Can't wait for the day when Chip Kelly becomes and Offensive Coordinator somewhere and wins a SB with a year or two. Then the doors would be blown WIDE open.
  6. Brady vs. Manning with 1 game to play: Brady: 379/601 (63.1%), 4685 yards (7.79 y/att), 32 TD, 8 INT (75.1 att/INT), 98.3 QB Rating Manning: 377/554 (68.1%), 4355 yards (7.86 y/att), 34 TD, 11 INT(50.3 att/INT), 103.7 QB Rating Brady has a better INT ratio. Other than that, Manning has the edge in every other category.
  7. Including rushing TD's for a non-running QB into TD totals is pretty hilarious. He has 32 total rushing yards all season. I've never actually see someone use the "total TD" stat for a QB who wasn't an actual rushing threat. Guess what? Peyton Manning has more career rushing TD's, lol. At least you can acknowledge when you are being a homer.
  8. Romo played well, but man that Saints secondary is stinky!
  9. Gotta chance to win the pool this week. Go Ravens!
  10. That was the call, which was clearly the wrong one, but it's not reviewable.
  11. Both Patriots TE's a miles better than anything the Broncs have at the position. Doesn't matter if they only have 1 of them at a time, they are both pro bowl calibre players. "Other than Welker and Lloyd" those are the Patriots 2 best receivers. Manning has helped both Thomas and Decker have career years. Manning has taken a team that went 8-8 last year (and was considered to have overachieved) and has a chance to finish 1st in the conference. Manning also has a better completion %, more TD's and a better QB Rating.
  12. Minnesota beating the crap out of Houston. That will end the playoff chances for the Rams (however slim they were coming in).
  13. He (Johnson) has a serious shot at Offensive POY, but the MVP is saved for the guy who leads his team to the top. AP should be in the discussion because he is bringing his average defence and below average passing game into the playoffs. I think it'll be close between Peyton and Peterson. I'd vote for AP simply because he is a RB leading his team in a QB dominated league. Peyton is no doubt the AFC MVP.
  14. If you are making a conscious decision to become a fan of a team, then you aren't really that big of a fan. True fandom comes from within, from the heart and soul.
  15. Well I guess there's a first time for everything.
  16. I went against my rule this week in picking the 'Boys in December. Their OT win cost me the win last week though.
  17. Why do you and Jolly keep pointing to the Pats and pulling them into conversations about the Jets? "It's OK that the Jets do this because here's an example of the Patriots doing the same". Is it anything more than an inferiority complex? The Giants get left alone, because when was the last time you saw Tom Coughlin give someone the finger?
  18. I do think Tebow would struggle, but I don't think there are many starting QB's in the NFL that wouldn't be able to start and be successful in the CFL. The ones that might are the ones with the weakest arms. In the CFL you have to be able to throw it hard to the sidelines (which is much wider than in the NFL) and you have to be able to throw it deep. I think guys like Cassel, Sanchez, and Fitzpatrick might not seen much more success in the CFL than in the NFL.
  19. For the record, I don't like it when ANY player taunts an opponent or crowd, or shows disrespect in any form. As a youth football coach I am the one that has to try to stop my 12 year olds from pretending they are wearing a championship belt, or doing a salsa dance after a TD. So don't tell me I think it's fine when Brady or anyone else does it (you know I'm not a Pats fan right?). My problem with Rex Ryan is that he is too much in the spotlight. He has to be. He can't get through a full season without creating some controversy by being overconfident in his average-at-best team, calling out others teams or players, or just being an arrogant ass. Is he an "idiot" in terms of football knowledge? Of course not. If he could control his ego and need to be in the limelight, he could be a good coach too. But he himself is too much of a distraction to his own team. Reminds me so much of Brian Burke, and why as brilliant as he is at many things in the business of hockey, he will always get in his own way. As for that last clip, I don't think I've ever seen it before, but I've honestly never seen a coach run into the endzone and celebrate a TD with his players. Seems like a good example of the above.
  20. That would be true, if what he said wasn't...
  21. Yeah as a Rams fan I've always hated the Sh*thawks. But this team is pretty damn exciting, I find myself almost cheering for them.
  22. Good football? It was sad, hardly NFL calibre play from both teams. The NE/SF game was 10000 times better.
