There was a Zoom workout with Bo Horvat and his trainer that my son and I did yesterday through some Rogers program. Bo was pretty talkative throughout. He says he got home from Montreal trip at 2:30 AM Sunday and was up by about 7:30 AM with his son Gunner. Rough sleep! He also talked about his captaincy style, how he’s not a raw-raw guy in the locker room, and that he just tries to lead by example. Reminded me of Linden’s style. Although Linden would lay out a lot more hits.

Some sketchy defense in that period. We’re lucky it’s only 1-0. Hope they’re more in sync in the second.

He’ll be a very solid addition to the back line. I could see him paired with Hughes as a really nice fit. One balances out ther other - offensive small guy and defensive-minded massive guy. Plus I think having Podkolzin on the team next year will make Tryamkin feel even more comfortable, having another Russian to chat with. I really do see next year as our year - where it all comes together, and we’ll get a proper training camp and enough games in the regular season to get adjusted to the new faces.

Somehow I felt better losing that shootout than I did with yesterday's win. Funny how the refs can even ruin wins like that.

Isn’t is weird CBC didn’t even acknowledge the possible puck-over-glass penalty before or after the commercial? All the Canucks on the ice are waving their sticks, and the ref is shaking his hand at the glass, trying to justify the non-call to the other ref, and CBC commentators be like “who’s hungry? Alex Edler, blah blah..”
