Showtime! I hope the team realizes these two next games basically will either keep their playoff hopes alive or kill them. They need to play a LOT better than the past games against the Sens to win. I hope it all comes together, although the Habs seem to have our number this year. Go Canucks!

I hope we come out with a bit more purpose in this one. That was serious nail biting last game.

It's so hard to gain ground in this division. It's great to see Canucks winning some games now, but that early funk went on for too long. I think it'll be too big of a hole to climb out of, but if they keep finding ways to win, it could be close.

That was the ugliest and greasiest goal of the year, by any team. So sweet. Leafs lose tonight and Canucks win. That’s a stellar night. And Demko is incredible.

This kind of borderline racist comment isn’t that uncommon among our fan base, which surprises the heck out off me. Tryamkin is exactly what this team needs. He’s a very solid stay-at-home defenseman who actually intimidated the opposition. The closest we have to that is Edler, who has maybe one or two years left, and Benn, who is serviceable but not as physical or skilled as I’d like.

Why we might come back and win this game: It feels like the game should be over. It’s just about 10 pm. But wait, we’re getting into crazy hour! Anything can happen! There’s still a period left! Hold on folks. Crazy hour is here.

I cannot believe we got 2 points tonight. Sweet.

We definitely didn’t deserve any points in this game. If anything, we should have had points taken away from the team after a flub like that. But Gaudette and that scream after he scored - that’s hockey.

Price doesn’t deserve a shut out but I’m pretty sure based on what I’m seeing he will be getting one.

This is such a brutal game by the Canucks. I cannot believe the game is still in reach.

There is a beautiful multiverse where Hoglander is behind the net on the 5-on-3 and Habs can’t get too close to him because they’re covering a ready-to-snipe Boeser and Miller and Horvat in front of net, so Hoglander pulls the lacrosse move on the unsuspecting Price, who’s a bit too short to cover the top of his net while on his knees. It’s spectacular!

Between Calgary coach firing and Walter Gretzky’s passing, Sportsnet was quick to pull any unnecessary stories about the Canucks beat down of the Leafs last night. But they do have a story about how everyone thinks Leafs coach should be Jack Adams winner. Convenient.

Reasons I’m liking this game: - No flood of Leaf fans in the building chanting Go Leafs Go - Regular start time instead of 4 pm for those bloody Torontarions - oh... and because we’re winning (for now)

Canucks need to trade Virtanen while he’s hot. Maybe trade to the Leafs in the second intermission, for an Awesome Nostril nose hair.

Leafs went their entire last game against the Oilers without taking a penalty, and about halfway through this game it’s the same thing. Shannaplan must include bribing refs.

I recall him taking quite a bit of abuse with the hacks and whacks in recent games with the refs whistles in their pockets.

Argh, LE should not be playing. Period. I don’t care if he’s even better than some options. He’s a constant reminder of massive depressing contracts and deadweight on this team. He should be sent to Utica to see if he really has the desire to stick out his contract by bus.
