I too think this may be an option. Quinn is a superstar (70s again) defenseman, but that is a small body ladies and gentlemen. If we have to move anybody of that ilk, I think it is Quinn, and like you say, to NJ. (We could keep him if we signed a nice monster RD that can skate and is smart enough to stay out of the box while delivering the 'message'.) -

Yeah, and the trading team needs to move players for players, cap for cap, etc, too. -

"It" was a pile of crap, and you typed it. "A fan should never be an owner of a team." - that is crap. -

I don't mind so much these deep dives into what might be wrong and how to go about improving the team. But so many are just vitriol and chest-pounding ego trips by posters who think they know more than anybody. And all the "I've had it with this team" posts are obviously bs cuz they're still here carping. I love the Canucks, and CDC, and I'm not threatening to go anywhere; I just move on to hoping for a good game next game. I've been here since the beginning of both, and agree with the poster who said something like, "What Canucks fans want is a team that tries their best and plays as a team (and my preference is with talent and toughness). So I'm looking forward to tomorrow's game and a better result and a more pleasant PGT after. Cheers everyone! GO CANUCKS GO! -

Yes, unfortunately the time has come to explore options. But the time has not yet come to sell because hardly any other teams have the cap space to take the players that would normally bring back an acceptable return. If we sell now, we will get absolutely minimum for virtually any current Canucks or prospect. And if you're selling now, it must be to rebuild isn't it, and our draft picks are the only tickets which will garner a decent return. As many of us have said all year, this is going to be (now is) a down year due to how the team is constructed and zero cap space (for almost every team). And many of you are over-reacting; Jesus, get a Valium prescription or something. It is one loss against one of the fasted and best young up-and-coming teams in the league. When Bruce showed up, he said to try to win the week. Well, we won the week last week (1 loss; then 2 wins). We lost the first one this week; lets see if we can win the next 2 (ANA & NASH) and, win this week. -

That's the last time they get a day off! "Take the day off, go enjoy yourselves." Forgot to say, "But come back ready to work your asses off!" -

I think I still have that horrible album; mine's at least 60 years old. At least it's in the bin marked "Throw Away!" (No digital remastering back then - no digital anything. They sped up the recoring to make the voices sound like chipmunks but didn't have the technology to keep it all in tune etc. Bloody awful racket.) Play it as a punishment instead; get 'em mad as hornets; that's the proper mindset for hockey! -

It is more than 'low'; it is off base. Leave the families and personal lives out of it. -
I don't know what that means actually. Coach is not friend. No matter how nice BB is. I think what Podz needs is a pat on the back. The young man drives the net like no other Canuck. (I don't mean ever; I mean on the current team.) He does it all, offense, defense, stands up for his mates, hits, answers the bell, strong skater, dekes in a phone booth.. I'd like to see Podkolzin back up with Petey until they both learn to maximize 'it'.
