One prospect traded for a roster center and you assume there is no long-term plan? Part of moving Myrenberg is part of the long-term plan. In order to effect a long-term plan of any kind, you have to take care of NOW. And it looks like we have acquired a RHD that wants to be here (NOW). The team is a lot better today than when all the doom and gloomers were blowing off steam. It takes time for fans to understand as much as management does; no matter how smart the fans think they are.

DiPietro is less than waiver fodder; he would clear; we are giving him a chance with another organization as he requested. We weren't going to get Studnicka for 'less than nothing' (MD) and a long shot prospect (mngt figures 5 years out) is enough value for Boston to make the deal. People upset that we are 'going for it now' are mad (like crazy, imo); we have to try to win every game; tanking is for losers. Who wants to watch a team that is not trying to win? I'll bet none of you 'lets hope we win in 5 years' would be happy with 3 or 4 years of suckage.

Basically because no NHL team really wanted to take on Dipietro and the Canucks needed an NHL bottom-six center due to our injury list. Boston needed value to give up on Studnika and take Dipietro off our hands. One of the most difficult jobs management has (imo) is deciding which prospects we can do without. The decision to let Myrenberg go was not made lightly, and was made with solid information from our Swedish scouts and connections.

We gotta stop looking through the entrails. (e.g. Chatfield, Forsling, etc.) Every day is unique and now we have some new guys to look at, and we are on a 2 game winning streak and a 4 game point streak (if I am not mistaken, which, as some of you know, is quite often). Many of us thought this would happen right away, then came camp and stuff wasn't right. Then the season started very poorly and everything got pretty dark around here. Then we got a couple points out of OT losses (or whatever those newfangled do-dads are called). Then we got a couple Wins! Time to savour this a bit lads. Raise a glass if you so imbibe, a cheer, bask in a bit of relief. Couple days off and we head into another game looking to Win! Positivity is a real force, as our new and improved Canucks. Go Canucks Go!

Much as I liked 'that guy's map of the route, I feel The Stanley Cup should go to Stanley Park. Let's remind the world where the cup came from as well as where it belongs. It was taken from us over 100 years ago (less if you count the Victoria Cougars) and the sooner it comes home the better. And this time, let's keep it here! Lord Stanley: (looks a bit like Miller.. woooo - oooo) (happier tho, lol)

We got a lot more than a defenseman here. (Now pass the Kleenex.) I grew up in a small town with a small group of natives at one end of 'the trail'. I remember, everybody (white/European) called them 'dirty Indians'. Well, not my mom, but all the schoolkids. I had forgotten about that as it was over 50 years ago. Ignorance can be so hurtful. Thanks for standing up Bear. Really looking forward to having you play for the Vancouver Canucks.
