  1. frack, Kesler got nailed. Typical Edler, trying to ruin the team
  2. Hey Booth scored again! There's a bright side. Glad to see him doing well.
  3. I like Stanton. He doesn't back down even if he isn't the biggest guy. Nolan's a big boy and he knows how ti fight, but Stanton kept in it even after some big shots.
  4. 13-0 Blue Jackets. Sedins collide and injure each other, out rest of season. Luongo pulls his groin, career-ender. Bieksa's chest explodes, day-to-day. Suddenly, an asteroid shower demolishes all of the Lower Mainland. Rogers Arena caves in amongst itself. Crawling out of the rubble, and standing atop a pyramid of the corpses of his 'core guys', Michael Gillis looks out at the fire-ravaged, desolate wasteland. As the haze and ash in the sky distort the sunset into a bloody glow, the GM of the Vancouver Canucks smirks, and lets out a dark chuckle which echoed across the barren destruction. "I did it. I finally destroyed Vancouver"
  5. What if you like EDM and molly? Nothing wrong with it if you don't abuse it, just don't be stupid. P.S. How y'all feeling about Contact this year? My friend went last year and said it was the bomb, but looking at the line-ups I think last year's was better...worth it anyways?
  6. Oh, I get it. Dominick Cruz hasn't fought in 2 years and they haven't stripped him of his title. Granted, the circumstances are different; him constantly getting reinjured. But as circumstances are different, so are the champions; GSP is the biggest draw since Lesnar, the undisputed best welterweight in history, and the UFC's most marketable athlete of all-time. I think uncle Dana can calm down and make an exception. The UFC goes nowhere without its fighters and GSP is the best they've ever had. He should show some gratitude to Georges and grant him a vacation if he wants. As for the Henrik Sedin comment...well, remember when a Canuck 4th liner a few years ago needed to take personal leave with no timetable for undisclosed reasons? The organization helped him, gave their support, backed him publicly. Sadly, it wasn't enough and we as fans never saw how grave Rick Rypien's situation really was until his death. Who's to say the same thing isn't happening with Georges? Don't bash when you don't know what's going on in his life and in his head.
  7. It's funny, because GSP's been calling for rounds to be abandoned and have it be more of a pure fight. Don't hate the player, hate the game. He won by the rules, like them or not. And yes, GSP was the best fighter. Even if he wasn't finishing, he was absolutely dominating and destroying. It was only until after his injury that he really looked like he lost a step. But before that, nobody was more complete and athletic. P.S. I completely agree that Dana's being an idiot. GSP owes the UFC and Hendricks absolutely zilch. I'd like to see an immediate rematch because Big Rig is the first guy to arguably win more than one round, let alone a whole fight against GSP since Serra. But if GSP wants to call it quits, you can't give him crap. He's earned a vacation/retirement if he wants it.
  8. That soon into the fight, after a half-assed choke locked in for such little time? I just don't think it can possibly be a tap.
  9. P.S. Rory VS Robbie was aweeeesoooome. Give Rory credit for going hard at the end there despite his head being in another world, but it makes me smile to see a guy like Robbie win.
  10. Nope, GSP definitely won round 2 & 3 and was winning round 4 until he slipped and then started getting pounded. But Hendricks did way more damage in total and I think he definitively got 1 & 5*. And GSP looked like he got a semi-truck to the face while Hendricks was just a little tuckered out. Breaking news: GSP leaving UFC to tend to his 36 illegitimate children he fathered with a whole tribe of pygmies in the Congo. EDIT: Typo, *4.
  11. Wow…I'm a huge GSP fan but Hendricks busted him up big time, I thought it could've gone either way. This is like Jones VS Gustaffson all over again. You watch this again, and I'm sure you'll find that GSP was technically better and landed more and got better takedowns. But Hendricks messed his face up and was a big underdog so our view will be impartial. Also…GSP retiring? Don't leave yet Rush
  12. Wow, I thought Hendricks would fade for sure after that 3rd round. He made a fan of me. If GSP wins it, it's by points merit. Immediate rematch without seeing who won.
  13. I don't know about connecting...for a lot of those first big exchanges Diego was just punching air. He's a tough mofo though...they both are. Love how Gilbert decided to engage in the brawling in the 3rd round, that was batcrap crazy! Gotta say this about JDS though: he needs new cornermen. The big guy has probably already knocked some time off his life clock in the last 2 fights with Cain. His heart is too big for his brain, he just can't stop fighting and you know that's taking it's toll on his head. The cornermen should've stepped in for his own safety. And GSP is where the journey stops
  14. Vanek and Tavares could be really interesting, I think Vanek's one of the more underrated scorers in the league. But Moulson and Tavares had proven chemistry, I would have guessed that it'd be easier to resign Moulson than Vanek (and for a lot less money too), and they also gave up 1st and 2nd round picks? Garth Snow WTFs again.
  15. Thread needs moar J.A.C.K. The dude's sounds are amazing.
  16. @key2thecup I know what you mean. Had a string of friends, family, and my dog dying over the last month and it's all accumulated the past week and put me into a funk that's making me very guarded, withdrawn and angry. I don't bother acting happy if I'm not, which is basically whenever I'm not with friends (it sure is helpful to have good buddies for roommates). And I've noticed this past week when I'm in public, people give me wary looks and tend to avoid me; I guess I give off a hostile vibe. Or maybe it's all in my head because I'm in a bad place. But I get how you're feeling. But hell, if you're at the gym to work out and not make friends, why care? frack those people, keep doing what you're doing. Though if you do want to go to a new gym, it should be for the reason your current gym sucks (no squat rack? That's 3rd world crap). But still, best cure for sadness is lifting. And weed. And sex. All at once even.
  17. And Pettis' one win for the belt doesn't make him better now...it's not like GSP's coming off anything but another decisive win. GSP has beaten any and all fighters for the last 6 years in a stacked division. Pettis can't say that. He has the chance to, LW's a tough division and he's a great fighter. But until then, he has nothing on Aldo, Cain, GSP, Jones, Silva, hell even Weidman.
  18. Silva and Jones I might get, but Pettis? Guy hasn't even defended his belt yet, that's just ludicrous. Doesn't matter whether a fighter finishes more than another, all that matters is how much more they win. And right now, GSP has the longest title defence streak in the most stacked division in the UFC. He's the most well-rounded fighter in the world. Flashy finishes don't determine one's ability to win.
  19. Gus made a fan of me. He left it all out there like he said, and showed everybody the LHW division is still interesting. He better get an immediate rematch, because it can be argued he already should have the belt around his waist. Teixeria has to beat somebody better than Ryan Bader before he gets considered for a fight with Jones. P.S. If this isn't proof GSP is #1 P4P over JJ right now...I don't know what is. Nothing against Jones, but GSP has been clinically handling tougher opponents for longer.
  20. White Panda at Fortune tonight was siiiick...only $15 too.
