We firstly would like to thank Patrick for his many contributions to our hockey club the past 6 seasons, Patrick has been a huge part in our success and was a tremendous asset to our organization and our hockey family. We wish Patrick the best with Edmonton and wish @Canuck Surfer and his club the best moving forward. Kudos to them on being able to come together on a deal as obviously a deal of this stature takes compromise from both sides. We know Patrick will bring a lot to Edmonton and help them climb the CDCGML standings in no time. That being said we are very excited to have added William and Joe to our club, we see William as a great long term fit in our top-6 forward group, either on the first or 2nd line, with the emergence of Hertl as a center as well, we believe we will have a ton of flexibility moving forward, this deal also gives us additional needed cap flexibility as we try to fit all of our young players new contracts' down the road in the budget. Joe is a player that we believe will be a huge piece for us down the stretch, we were looking to add a depth forward for quite some time now and Joe's experience and pedigree will be a huge asset for us as we look to win a championship.

There is always a way to get deals done... be pushy... be persistent... overpay for the guys you want. There is always someway that a deal works itself out. The fun is in putting feelers out there and hoping for a positive response.... although as Jax says it only applies if you get a response (in which to be honest I have struggled to reply lately as well) We still have a great core of GMs here and discussions like this are great imo. lets have a great rest of the year and trade deadline!

Welcome @Jaku On another note; Florida is very pleased with the teams performance of late. The Jake Muzzin for Darcy Kuemper deal along with the added production from Marcus Pettersson has really solidifed our team and put us in a comfortable position at the top of the league. We are looking to add a depth forward up front, have an extra 2nd round pick to move plus possibly a defenseman.

Thanks to Bomba for the quick and easy discussions. We want to wish Jake Muzzin the best with the Blues, we believe Jake will be a good top-4 defenseman for St.louis. This was a deal we are happy with as we are familiar with Kuemper as he was on our championship roster a few years ago. Darcy will provide a good option for us to give Pekka a rest when needed. Also nice to add a pick this year to our stable. Great debut for Darcy as well as he put up a 38 save win against the Caps!
