I agree this site is so informing on what's going on along with rumours..I will miss the site..

Canucks Army is good but no updates like this site with all the members sharing information.

October 1st will be a sad day..Hope we can find another site..

Wonder Florida signed him to sit in the press box?

I think OEL never really recovered from broken angle at world championships last year.. OEL started season last year awful and never got on track..

I think he will be put in # 5 spot in Florida no pressure and play well..Move up to # 4 spot with injuries and Florida will be happy with the signing.

Räty has a good looking wrister and slap shot

Raty 20 - 6'2 - C - lots of talent needs to play 60 AHL games in top 6 this season..Maybe 5-7 NHL games with injuries..

Don't rush Raty's progress Only 20 .Last season was his first in North American and he got traded to Vancouver January 2023..

Should be ready to play #3 C in next 12 --16 months..

Yup. It would certainly be nice to have a guy like Pesce here, but his cap allocation might be too high. Unless we could move off Myers and Garland. Then it should work. Got to move them first though.

Pesce 29 years old in November and UFA this summer will demand  6 million X 4-- 5 years??

Do Canucks want to lock this kind of money into another older player? I say no..

If your locking 6 million into player turning 30 next summer asking for trouble in last few years of contrac...,Please no

Canucks will have prospects ready in 2 years.

     Willander  18 - 6'2 RD   2 yrs -- Pettersson 19-  6'3 LD  2 yrs - McWard RD  21- 1--2 years away

    Hirose  LD  23 - 1-2 yrs--   Woo. 23 -RD    1- 2 yrs.     -Truscott 6'1  21- Michigan 2 yrs away - - - Brzustewicz 18 - OHL   2-3 yrs --

    Jurmo 6'4 -21 -LD  2-3 yrs away---Kudryavtsev 19 -- 2-3 yrs -- OHL

I also doubt they would clear waivers. It’s why I think Rathbone should be moved. At least they can get a late round pick for him.

Woo is a late bloomer, but he could be NHL ready sooner rather than later. I would hold onto him.

I would like to hold onto Woo but if he is not ready for NHL he needs to play AHL games..

Woo RD - will not clear waivers if sent down.. Sure hope Canucks can figure something out..Lots of prospects in pipe line now..

    Juulsen 25 6'2 - Wolanin 6'1 27 LD - Johansson 22- 6'1 RD -- McWard RD-6'2 - 22--  Woo 6'0 22 -- Hirose LD- 6'0-LD -

    Willander 18 - 6'2 --RD -2-3 yrs away -- Pettersson 19 -LD -6'3 -2-3 yrs away --

    Kudrayvtsev LD 19 Greyhounds - 2-3 yrs away  ---Brzustewicz  18- LD 6'0 Kitchener 2 -4 yrs-- Jurmo 21 -6'4 -205 - LD - 2yrs

    Truscott  21 -6'1 -LD  close -US College ---    Mynio  18 -6'1 -LD - Seattle JR -- 2-4 yrs

There are a few other players I never mentioned. Allvin and group have done a great job getting some good prospects on track and drafting some.

Fresh season, fresh dream BUT needs a fresh start elsewhere.

Juulson, Wolanin, Brisebois, Woo and Irwin are all ahead of him on the depth chart. There’s probably some more guys ahead of him that I can’t recall right now.

Allvin should move him to a team that has little or no depth, so he can get some experience at the NHL level.

I’m sure he’s a good kid, but he won’t get much, if any NHL experience here. I feel the same about Karlsson tbh.

    1. Hughes  LD  2 Hronek RD  3.Cole  L/R 4. Myers RD  5. Soucy L/R  6 Wolanin. LD -- Juulsen RD

Hinrose LD  Brisebois LD.  Johansson RD. Rathbone LD. Woo RD  McWard RD

I don't think Rathbone or Woo will clear waivers if there sent to AHL..

Management should have a plan to package.. I like style Woo plays could be ready for #6 Spot next season.

Also have McWard  22, RD, that showed well and Pettersson 19 LD  and Willander  18 - 6'2 RD might only be 2 years away?

    To Carolina:

    Thatcher Demko

    Anthony Beauvillier

    To Vancouver:

    Brett Pesce

    Frederik Andersen

    2024 2nd round pick

Cap numbers work. We get our partner for Quinn Hughes. Carolina gets their #1 goalie for a cup run this year.  Andersen will be our starter until Silovs is ready. We also open up $1.7 million in cap space so we should be fine on opening night.

I would only do this deal with a Pesce extension in place. 6.5x6. Gives us time to properly develop Willander and not rush him. Once Willander is ready to play with Hughes then Pesce can play on our 3rd pairing in 3-4 years.

So we trade top 10 goalie Demko 28 Dec-- 3 yrs @ 5 million

    Beauvillier 26 - 4.1 @ 1 yr UFA

    Pesce 6'3 RD - 29 November -- UFA July 1st - Demand 6 million X 6 yrs ?

Anderson 34 October -- Better days behind him 2 yrs @ 3.4 million -- Hurt lots..

Vancouver are way better keeping Demko top 10 goalie..

Carolina would have to sweeten deal

    1. Hughes  2. Hronek will demand 5.5--6 million --1 yr @ 4.4   RFA

I don't make this deal doesn't make sense? Make deals for players under 27...

    Simple solution.  Garland for Pinto

Canucks can never have enough pivots

Lots of teams will be after Pinto 22, 6'3 -- C ?? scored 20 goals..

I would think Ottawa would want Podkolzin back .. Podkolzin 22-6'1 --200lbs

    Garlands 27 4.9 million

I say Boston tries very hard to make trade for Pinto..Boston really need  a young centre ..Boston lost there #1 and #2 centres both retired..

I would really like Canucks to offer big Ritchie a PTO contract we could use his size and toughness against some much bigger teams in the west.
Tocchet would be okay with Ritchie 6'3, 236 lbs crashing havoc.. Please PTO toughness $750,000 -1 yr show me more...

In 2019-20, he was basically a 2nd liner with those numbers. 2020-21 was definitely a down year, but 2021-22's numbers were right in line with 3rd line numbers at 0.5 points-per-game. 2022-23 wasn't good, but a 14-game sample isn't enough to draw any big conclusions.

That was the past 4 years ago? He was 27 then now 31 years old for 2023-24 season?

    There are some players like Nick Ritchie 27-6'3 - 225 lbs -- GP 74 - G 13  -PTS 26 -- TOI 13:26 --

Worth a PTO look? Would add lots of toughness ? Canucks could use toughness and he can drop gloves if needed?

Tocchet would like this player.. I like Ritchie has some talent not the fastest but in those heavy games against big teams Vancouver lacks size and toughness.. ..PTO lets go??

Thats even worse game is getting faster and Pearson was slow 2 yrs ago? Missed almost the entire season last year?

Pearson 31 can't see him fitting in with Tocchet style fast pace roll 4 lines..

Canucks need more speed not add slow veteran like Pearson 3.2 million..

Hoglander will come to camp and play like his rookie season, plays the fast gritty pace even though he is small..

Podkolzin is going to make big jump also.

Pearson at best #13 or #14...

Based on what? We haven't seen him play much in a long time. I'd wager there are very good odds he's a capable 3rd liner or 4th liner at the very worst.

What are you basing Pearson as 3rd line winger? He is now 31 always was a step slower but few steps slower now...

Would only save us about $1M (or whatever the max amount is for guys in the AHL), so I imagine this only happens if he's genuinely not good enough to make the team.

I would be surprised f Pearson can make any meaningful contribution to the team

Tocchet wants to play a fast paced north south game.. Pearson missed most of last season..

Pearson 31 years old now and his speed has never been good.. I don't see Pearson making the team..

    Mikheyev-Pettersson-Kuzmenko

    Hoglander -Miller- Boeser

    Podkolzin - Blueger- Garland

    Beauvillier -Suter-Joshua

Hoglander with his speed and new coach with fresh start has something to prove.. Hoglander plays with grit and speed and will have fans surprised this camp.. Hoglander GP 75 - G 18 - PTS 38

Podkolzin 22 - 6'1 -205 -- Will also be much improved and ready to take on bigger role,,,

He won’t. He doesn’t have what it takes to become a star in the NHL. He wants everything handed to him on a silver platter, but won’t put the work in. He just does not care.

This is why it’s easier to root for guys like Podkolzin and Hoglander. They’re doing whatever it takes to improve.

Big Podkolzin has really been working out..Hope the big #92 comes out of the gate flying..

Tocchet knows how to motivate his guys..Pods is going to have a great year..

    Party pooper here.

    Kemmel>Lekkerimaki

I'd like to see Lekkerimaki prove he is > Kemmel before we pat ourselves on the back. To me that's min 25g over 52. To come close to the 36g pace over 72 Kemmel put up last year in the AHL. 8G in 14 playoff to lead all rookies. If we extrapolate Kemmels 14g in 28games or 36g over 72 which would tie him 1 shy of 1st in goal scoring amongst AHLers. Of course this is just "pace" We will see what he does this year. Could we use a goal scoring pest in our top 9 right now?? How good would JK look on Miller's wing? Cough Beauvellier, Brock, Garland conundrum aside.

My guess is that we start to see Kemmel get NHL games this year and put up NHL goals and gain a rep for agitating NHL players maybe even get his first NHL suspension out of the way haha. We could use a Ruutu on our squad. While Lek's is still what 2 or more years out?

I'm really hoping Leks turns out and I have egg all over my face. Right now I have a hard time getting excited on Lekks I wish I shared your exuberance. To me he's a perimeter flyweight I can't see him playing w Pete and Miller needs guys who play the wall like Pearson did hopefully that's Pod and maybe Lek could fit on the other side? I have a hard time seeing where he fit's in our long term top 6. He's a bit more of what's already ailing our club soft perimeter winger's.

So far Bains/Raty look like the best FWD prospects MGMT has added cudo's those were shrewd acquisitions. I'll be watching a good amount or Orebro this year hopefully he will grow on me and I'll start to see this player you saw at 7oa. What I want to see is him take ice not just operate in the ice given to him because he won't have that ice given to him in the NHL.

I think Josh Bloom 20--LW--185lbs -LW  will surprise some fans. I can see hime starting on 3rd line working up into top 6 by Xmas time..Has decent speed and hope adjustment period transition works well.. He just turned 20 in June..Buffalo 3rd rounder 2021- 95th O/A

Aidam McDonough - 6'2 -  205 -LW - 24 November - Will be interesting to see how he shows in AHL after 25 games..

Danila Klimovich -6'2 -205  -RW -  20 June - Wonder if his development was slowed having him play AHL as 18 yr old?

So much talent he would up dominated in JR Quebec league GP 65 - G 35-40 -- PTS 75-85  .

Experts were thinking Canucks should of had him playing in CHL? He never played quality minutes 4th line and thats not good for development of 18 yr old.. That was Benning group that made that decision.

It certainly isn't unanimous among the fans, but it appears that Tocc wants Hughes, which is a huge

    advantage for Captain Quinn.

I don't think Petey want to be Captain the language barrier with interviews . Pettersson is fine with the big "A" and not having to deal with media regularly..

Miller  - Can fly off the handle and everyone has witnessed his behaviour --Good with big "A" on his jersey.

Quinn Hughes, so well spoken and leads by example every shift he shows leadership. The right choice for new captain.

I am thinking Sedins with present Hughes with a  new Jesey on home opener # 34 - Hughes -- "C"
