  1. He was involved in a Hit&Run accident, and then continued to flee from the police.

Apparently he went on some crazy fasting diet which consisted of water, energy drinks, and very little sleep. I think he kinda snapped after the loss to Forrest, and lost his brain for a little while.

yeah, and at the ufc 87 press conference he told reporters that the crazyness had a lot do with splitting with his trainer Juanito.

There are some rumours that Janito ripped Jackson off of some money. Not sure whats going on there..

  2. Dunno yet. I'm watching in order to watch the evolution of some of the fighters. I know it sounds gay, but it's actually pretty sweet watching them get better and better. I'm still at the point where you could still wear shoes and wear shirts.

But yah, if you want Pfize, I could burn ya a copy of UFC 56. Lemme know.

Thanks for the offer johnny :) but I already have a copy.

Problem is that I didnt see the post fight speech in good quality. Its the famous one where GSP asks for the title shot and gets on his knees and instead of saying fair and square.. he says "fairly squarely" haha.

So i was hoping you had the pay ppv version. If you have some time soon (cause i think its going to take a looooooooong time for you to get to 56 if you are watching from the beginning) hehe if you could just pop in 56 and fast forward it to the end of the fight to see if there is a speech there or if it cuts off in Sherk vs GSP.

I just wanted a 5 min clip of that. Or are these all burned dvd copies? where its one UFC per dvd. If these are all dvds then dont worry about it, because then you have to extract it, divx it then splice the video.. If its just a divx it takes 2 minutes to cut out a bit.

  3. Forgot to mention my big purchase over the weekend.

I know own all 87 UFC ppv's on just over 30 discs. Yah, they're burned but still almost DVD quality. Good times. I just got through UFC 17 where Pete Williams gave Mark Coleman that amazing kick to the face!!!

    Anyone interested in purchasing?

im actually looking for the GSP intro in UFC 56.

They took it out of the official dvd, and all the torrents for it are dvd rips. Was hoping to find the ppv rip.

Does your UFC 56 have GSP's intro and him talking in the post fight against Sean Sherk?

  4. word is that Rampage will fight Shogun for the new years show.

check out the crowd reaction.. everyone gets school girl giddy when shogun answers.

although shogun is an awesome fighter.. i was hoping Rampage would fight Wanderlei Silva. They both hate each other.

Shogun vs Chuck would have been a better fight like previously planned.

  5. All I can do is trust in the UFC propaganda machine (ironic to say the least) in their hype for the upcoming TuF season where they boldly proclaim that the next big thing is here.

Maybe, just maybe they'll produce a 185'er tough and well rounded enough to take out the 205'er that currently holds the belt.

Dana was saying that new phenom guy is suppose to be a lightweight.. :( I was hoping it was going to be a middleweight too.

I love the BJ hate here. Makes me sooooo happy, since all of my buddies just loooove BJ.

I'm surprised he's not an only child. The crap he spews out of his mouth, and how he is a golden boy despite proving, oh I don't know.... nothing?? Can't stand him, and if Dana gives him GSP, I hope Rush kills him. Literally.

It already done. Dana said the LW division will have to hold now. He said Florian will have to fight another fight.. And wont get a title shot yet.

BJ has had 3 free WW title shots, and 1 free top contender shot... all the while not working his way up in WW at all. After losing 2x against Hughes/gsp he fought a featherweight Pulver and got another title shot against Stevenson, then against Sherk.

KOS is pissed off. He said why the hell is bj who lost his last 2 WW attempts getting a 3rd shot, while Kos and Deigo Sanchez, his AKA Gym partner Fitch will now have to work his way up too. Penn has proved nothing at WW in the last 4 years. His beat Hughes in 2004. After losing he never tried to work his way up, he just skipped the division. Anyone can win one match. If he gets lucky against GSP people will be kissing his donkey calling him the best ever.

Give it up, this happens all the time. When Hughes beat Penn, St. Pierre was in the ring with a couple of minutes and told Hughes he wasn't impressed with the win. If it wasn't BJ Penn you wouldn't have a problem with it.

I would love nothing more than to see Penn defeat St. Pierre. I'd love to see the GSP fans boys/ Penn haters shut their mouths.

Dana forced GSP into the octagon that night. He told him to hype up the next fight.

I dont know if Dana told BJ to do it this time. He said if GSP beats Fitch fast that it will happen. But GSP and Fitch went into a 5 round war. But then Dana gave BJ the match anyways.

I he did tell BJ to come up then its fine, but i dont think so. I think BJ has been trying to get Dana to get this match even though Dana was saying maybe. He knows if he gets into the octagon and hypes it its almost forcing Dana to do this.

Notice how when BJ asked the fans if they want the fight, Minnesota booed BJ   They know he doesnt deserve it.

Im the opposite. I want to see GSP smash BJ, so BJ will have to work his way up in WW. But chances are.. if he loses.. he wont work his way up, he will just go back to LW to beat up on other guys.

  6. hmm my Anderson Silva hatred has once again spewed..

I think i cant stand him because hes nowhere close to being p4p the best. Hes fought almost nobody good. Its all UFC hype. They try and get people to buy into it and feed him fighters that dont want to go to the ground.

  7. Wow that was a pretty good UFC on Saturday.. damn.. Jon Fitch can take a shot!!

That brock lesnar match started out pretty hilarious. The ref accidentally poke Herring in the eye even before the thing began hah. Remindmed me of the time in Pride the other guy blew Herring a kiss and Herring KO'd him in the staredown. But damn... if Lesnar gets his jiu jitsu down i dont know if he can be stopped. Hes just too big, too strong. Its possible that he might actually be able to finish Big Nog. Brock seems to have that type of strength.

GSP was amazing as usual. Fitch said GSP is a afraid to stand and is gunshy... well Jon figured out he is not gunshy and dropped him so many times. But fitch's jaw is made of iron. I liked the black Gi GSP came out in... it was like a dressy karate outfit heh.

I was dissapointed with Florian vs Huerta though. I thought Florian would be more agressive in the fight. Even though Huera lost at least he pused the pace of the fight. Kenny was backpeddling the whole time like Machida or Kalib Starnes. Its a good strategy to win but boring as hell to watch. Roger seemed pretty pissed off at that. In the post fight conference on mmaweekly.com he said that if he didnt initiate he didnt think there would be much of a fight for the fans.

GSP proved yesterday that he is the best p4p fighter out there. No one has come close to the amount of top 10 fighters he has faced.

Fedor is 2nd. BJ penn is 3rd. Then Shogun 4 even though he lost his last match, Wanderlei Silva, Chuck Liddell.

Anderson Silva is a 6'2 220 pounder who cuts weight to fight cans at 185. Other than Dan Henderson and to an extent Rich Franklin Anderson keeps fighting average fighters. His next fight is against Patrick Cote... another can.. After Cote last match in which he looked horrible does winning actually get you a title shot like that? Oh well Anderson will punch this can and UFC will create fake hype for him again that hes the greatest hoping other people will by into it. Hes a guy that refuses to fight people his own size in LHW. He ducks top competition. UFC picks his opponents that are strikers to help sell him.

If Georges St Pierre was 6'2 220 pounds he would freaken smash Silva. It wouldnt even be close. Georges would get him down and it would be over.

How many people have tried to take Silva down? Lutter? he got the full mount no problem. Dan Henderson? and he beat down Anderson for a full round before getting cocky and wanting to stand. A wrestler can rip him apart. Only problem is that all the good middleweights are in Elite XC, Dream Fighting in Japan. So Anderson will beat Cote another can, then a can after him.

Georges has a chance at Silva now but.. its basically a WW fighting a LHW. Silva called out GSP... that pathetic. That like GSP calling out someone hes 4 inches taller than and 40 pounds heavier than. Like some featherweight who's 5'6, 140 pounds.. Silva should call out Chuck Lidell or Rampage, Forest who will wreslte him to the ground, Wanderlei Silva who can take a punch unlike the cans he fights...

but no.... he calls out the guy that is a lot smaller than him... big man anderson... big man...

As for BJ that guy does not deserve a title shot. Who the hell does he think he is? He loses in WW, drops back to LW avoids fighting anyone significant.. oither than sherk. Beating A featherweight pulver and a TUF fighter Stevenson does not mean you can beat Jon Fitch, out wrestle Kos, Diego Sanchez, Thiago Alves etc..

For some reason he thinks hes entittled to title shots after proving nothing in the last 4 years. He said "this is the NEW BJ PENN" did anyone see him in the octagon. The guy is fat as hell again. The sherk fight was when like 2 months ago.. down with BJ PENN! UFC knows theres $$$$ because BJ hasnt lost... because hes been fighting iffy fighters and so he seems invincible. I feel sorry for Georges kind of.. even thought he will take on anyone to prove hes the best. GSP fights the best of the best. Since 2004 every guy hes fought other than Serra has been a top 3 in the world fighter and then he got a title shot after UFC made him fight 5-6 top guys.

Bj penn does nothing and gets a title shot. Anderson Silva fights cans and is regarded as the best p4p ever in UFCs marketing tool. Anderson Silvas ppv numbers have always lacked. I think people know hes fighting cans and don buy into his p4p garbage. You have to fight more than 2 good guys to get p4p status. He said he wants to stick at middleweight and not LHW. Whhhhhyyyyyy there is no one in that division that is well rounded. Lutter is so lazy he couldnt even make weight. Cote was afraid of going to the ground last match... but i hope he upsets Anderson and just knocks him the hell out... ut it not going to happen..

  8. man this should be something tommorow!!!

    3 great fights.

    Huerta/florian

    lesnar/herring

    gsp/fitch

yay! I have a feeling the gsp/fitch match will be a boring wrestling fest for 5 rounds but GSP has always had exciting fights so lets hope this one goes the same way.

  9. the ring is much more superior to a cage because it allows the fight to be more loose and open

fighters can freely swing, thow kicks etc. without being constrained by the walls

also they can bounce off ropes witch adds an element of unpredictability to the fight

safety cages are for 5 year olds.

guys fell out of the ring all the time in pride. they had to restart a fight 4-5 times a match because of it. The guy in control would always lose his rhythm.

The ring is good for boxing and kick boxing. K-1 is great in it.

    MMA is horrible in it.

  10. Andy vs Wandy. Would looove to see that.

Curious too, who would be considered the next #1 contender for Forrest's belt? Would you give it to the winner of Machida/T. Silva?? I would. Problem is, Dana's probably holding off for a late year Forrest/Chuck fight, which is CRAP in my opinion.

And man, only two more weeks til GSP/Fitch and Huerta/KenFlo. I haven't been this psyched for a card in years!

Wanderlei vs Anderson would be awesome! Now Wanderlei is a guy with an iron chin. He can take it and he can dish it out. He was saying he was going to drop to middleweight but after just murdering Jardine... well i think he knows he can take the LHW title. But now with rampage losing Wandlerlei vs Rampage is going to be a huge fight when it happens! I think it will now.

But then again Rampage just went bonkers.. so .. lets hope he gets back to his senses for the fight.

I was psyched that Anderson Silva would finally get tested. I mean Wanderlei is only 5'11 and walks around at 215-220 and hes fighting in LHW.

Totally agree on Dana and his man love on Chuck Liddell. Chuck lost 2 of his last 3. Lost to Rampage, lost to Jardine.. beat Wanderlei barely even though it was still a close fight. (I dont think Wanderlei was use to elbows in that fight yet as they were not allowed in pride) and he got caught by an elbow that cut him up.

Some mma site said that if Chuck beats Rashad he will get another title shot.. <_< I would give it to the winner of Thiago/Machida. They are both undefeated but Dana knows Chuck will sell more pay per views.

I hope Shogun comes back in top shape. In top form that guy is wicked to watch. Hes got great karate movie moves like his jumping spinning back kick that he did to rampage.

Well after fifteen minutes of trying to cut and paste and respond to different quotes from the last few replies, my browser crashed on me

    ouch :D

So yeah, Pfizer you make some really good point regarding Anderson. Like Johnny. said a while back, I've always thought Henderson could have won that fight if it wasn't for being lazy at the wrong time. I was just reading a little while ago that GSP stated that he'd like to fight Anderson but Anderson's camp said that since GSP hasn't successfully defended his title yet, that he has a ways to as a fighter before he's worthy of challenging him. I thought that was way over the top considering GSP's list of fighters he's decimated. He's lost twice in the UFC and came back to destroy both men.

Anderson's camp believes in Dana White's hype. Who has Anderson beaten? 2 good guys in his division? And in the Dan fight he lost round 1 badly.

    GSP has beaten:

    Matt Hughes (all american wrestler)

    Josh Koscheck (all american wrestler)

BJ penn (only non- brazilian to win gold at World Jiu-Jitsu Championships (black belt division)

Frank Trigg (2000 Olympic trials wrestling finalist)

Jay Hieron (state wrestling champion) GSP gave him his first loss.

Sean Sherk (ranked #2 after hughes at the time)

    Karo (top 5 guy)

    Jason Miller (natural middleweight )

GSP is on a different level of competition. He beat everyone great and THEN got the belt. Anderson Silva got a title shot in only his 2 match in the UFC? THEN he defended it. Its not even about the belt its about fighting the best and Anderson has not done that.

A lot of fighters want to fight the best. They want to take it to the next level. Now GSP Is fighting Fitch. Another top contender that is undefeated. Who is Anderson fighting next? Cote? whos an average fighter.

lightweight BJ Penn is calling out WW GSP.

WW GSP said he will fight MW Silva.

LHW Chuck Liddell is calling out HW Fedor.

Fedor is fighting huge monsters of all sizes in Heavyweight.

and Anderson Silva.. well hes happy fighting cans in his division. He doesnt want to fight a top WW or a top LHW. I think a lot of wreslters in WW can beat Silva.. only problem is in the UFC middleweight it has no high class wrestlers, they are all in Elite XC. So he basically fights average guys that want to stand and trade and then lose.

If anything Anderson Silva is not worthy of fighting GSP.

I think GSP has a shot but really... GSP is 5'10 & walks around at 183. Silva is 6'2 and walks around at 220. I wouldnt like to see it. Because if Silva wins he looks even better beating a quality smaller guy. He needs to fight up, not fight down.

  11. Weight cutting is just as much part of MMA as anything. You can't discredit any of Silva's accomplishments because he's a freak when it comes to cutting weight.

I discredit them because i think he fights cans. +hes taller, has a longer reach, bigger frame and is the champion of the weakest division in the UFC.

People say Silva makes them look like cans.. i think they are just cans from the beginning.

I would lose respect for Georges St Pierre if he moved to Lightweight to fight shorter, lighter people than him. He said he could do it but theres more challenge at Welterweight. He also wants to move to middleweight to fight guys bigger than him. Silva claims he wants more challenge but backs off always. Theres no more fights left for him at middleweight. After he beat 4 guys they ran out of opponents for him. What kind of crap division is that? They had to force Dan Henderson to drop weight so they could get him another fight. Now whos next? Cote? Hes not that good either.

Most guys want to fight guys bigger than them like BJ Penn. BJ penn has fought guys at 155, 170, 185 and 205 like Lyoto. Chuck Liddell wants to fight Fedor. Wanderlei Silva fought heaveweights Cro Cop and Mark Hunt.

Anderson wants to fight guys smaller. I think its pathetic. Youd think he would want to move up for a real fight.

Paul Filho, Cung Le, Frank Shamrock, Matt Lindland, Robbie Lawler, Ninja Rua. These are wicked middleweight fighters that he has never fought nor will he because they are in different MMA leagues.

UFC heavyweight and Middleweight division is pure crap. Affliction has a better heavyweight division and EliteXC has a better middleweight division.

I can't blame Silva for not fighting these guys because UFC will never cross promote but I wont praise him for fighting cans in a crap division either. He takes the easy route to being a champ. He always claims he wants a "challenge" but avoids those fight in reality.

  12. I just downloaded the single fight, have to agree...the man is a beast :) I would loooove to see Fedor and Randy fight in a cage. Two crafty "old" bastards with no ropes to slip out of...that would be awesome :)

yeah that rope thing is soo brutal. The boxing ring has no place in MMA. Affliction really screwed up with that. It sucked in Pride and it will suck in Affliction.

Have you ever seen Mark Kerr fights? hahah the guy was so feared at the time that people would climb out of the ring during the fight to avoid his vicious ground and pound. Its actually on his official fight record. Win via opponent "Crawling out of ring".

    http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/mark-kerr-71

    [Win --- Mestre Hulk --- DQ (Crawling out of the Ring) --- WVC 3 - World Vale Tudo Championship 3 --- 1/19/1997 --- 1 --- 2:21]

theres another video of this guy in pride that keeps crawling out of the ring against Kerr and the crowd starts booing. Kerr pretends to shoot and the guy falls back into the corner out of the ring. Super hilarious stuff. :D

It was later shown that Mark Kerr got his crazy strength from steroids. He was running through people worse than fedor. But when he stopped taking roids he started losing really bad and now he has a fat gut and looks out of shape.

I think Couture vs Fedor would be better if Couture was younger. Hes 45 years old! Fedor is only 31 . Old guy vs Explosive young guy... I dont think it would be too pretty...

I totally agree with you. I am a fan of Anderson, but the complete and absolute domination of the MW division is really starting to get old. Anderson in the LHW makes an already stacked division an unbeatable pool of entertainment and big fights. I also think that the fight with Irvin was a bit misleading as an example as to what Anderson would look like in the LHW division. Irvin is by no means a top dog, but he's got scary power and IMO he made Anderson look scarier than he really is at that weight.

Irvin was obviously gun-shy from the get go, never let his hands loose, and made a very silly mistake against someone of Anderson's caliber (the lazy body kick) and paid for it big time. Not to take anything away from that scary donkey punch, but if Irvin had been a little more relaxed and got into some exchanges, I think it would have been a very decent test of Anderson's chin.

I think a great fight at LHW would be Anderson/Lyoto. Two strikers with good ground game that are very tough to figure out on their feet. In any case, I completely agree that Anderson would be more suited at LHW if for no other reason that he will find much stiffer competition there and that is a win for us fans, and a win for the UFC for marketing.

Yeah that would be a really cool match up. The only problem is that they are training partners and would never fight one another. That sucks would have been interesting.

I think Anderson Silva is a good fighter but Dana White has hyped him up to much. After 4 fight he labeled him the best p4p fighter. Which i think is wrong. Nobody has fought more top 10 fighters than Georges St Pierre. Then its probably Fedor.

Anderson Silva has fought Rich Franklin and Dan Henderson. Other than that, he just fights cans. He looks better than he is because he fights crappy fighters. He keeps saying he wants a challenge but he refuses to fight people his own size. Its why i dont like him as a fighter. His ground game hasnt been tested. Travis Lutter is a lazy fighter and he mounted Anderson Silva so easily. Everyone wants to stand and trade with Anderson. If they want to beat him just take him down and pass guard. His guard is very weak even though hes a black belt.

People who only see him in UFC think hes unbeatable like Fedor. In Pride fighting he was good but not great. This is what happens when he gets taken down:

    Anderson Silva vs Daiju Takase

Look at Takasa (a nobody fighter) who takes him down absolutely kick the crap out of Anderson Silva.

    Anderson Silva vs Chonan

Chonan goes in with a wicked ankle lock! haha.

Dan Henderson could have beat Silva if he kept it to the ground. He was basically ripping Anderson apart on the ground. Silva could do nothing but take a beating for a round.

Now they will feed Silva Cote. Another guy that likes to stand and trade. Cote will also get out punched and lose. He wont take Anderson down and Anderson's hype will grow even more fighting another can. 220 pound guy beating up 190-195 pound guys who are usually shorter. He refuses to fight in LHW where all the guys are his height and weight. His takedown defence is horrid, and his chin is never tested because hes a good technical fighter that always has the reach advantage. Thats why hes avoiding LightHeavyweight. He knows if he fights there is height and reach are gone. He doesnt want to fight on an equal playing ground.

But i guess from his perspective, if he can make the weight and can beat up cans and make a lot of money why not. I just dont think hes a great fighter. Aside from Franklin and Henderson hes really done nothing special.

  13. Man Fedor looked like a machine last weekend. Tim Sylvia also got dropped by Randy Couture in the first punch of their fight too but Randy doesnt have the ground and pound like Fedor.

Like others have mentioned i dont see Fedor vs Couture being close. Couture got dropped by Chuck Liddell twice. I dont see how he would handle Fedor. Fedor is better than Randy at almost everything other than wrestling. Hes younger, quicker, stronger.

The rest of the fights on affliction were pretty good.

The UFC fight night was good not great i guess. Brandon Vera is an ok fighter. The hyped him up to be this great thing, but I dont think he will do that great at LHW. That eye poke on Anthony Johnson was brutal  Stabbed him right in there and somehow managed to win. The judges were screwed up. Win by poking someone in the eye? er..

Anderson Silva did well but he walks around at 220 so i mean this should be his natural weight class. It was great he knocked him out fast but seriously.. this should be his real division. He cuts too much weight to fight at 180. He fighting guys who walk around at 195. Hes much bigger than them frame wise. Even at 205 Silva looked slim. His manager said its possible one day he could fight at heavyweight.

I dunno its like Georges St Pierre winning the welterweight then dropping to 155 and beating people up there. If Silva wants a challenge he should stay at LHW. He said hes moving back down to middleweight to beat up some more cans in a weak division.

  14. Today EliteXC is going to be on tv.

    EliteXC: Unfinished Business

    Saturday July 26

    CBS 9-11pm pst/est

This looks like it will be a much better card than the crap we saw last time. It will be Lawler vs Scott Smith 2. This was the best fight last elitexc card but they stopped it too early and so they will redo the fight. Should be good.

Jake Shields is the next major fight. He is considered the best welterweight outside of the UFC. His last loss was in 2004 and before that in 2002.

Next is Nick Diaz vs Thomas "wildman" Denny. Nick is very talented fighter but acts like a high school kid with all his swearing and middle finger usage. But he beat Takanori Gomi a little while back. Someone who is considered the best lightweight in the world. Some say better than BJ Penn. He lost to penn but that was years back when he was first entering.

Then a chick fight!. I dont know much about these 2 girls. Dont know the last fight either.

That will be the main card, but their matches before it goes on CBS will be on Showtime. Antonio Silva is a mammoth beast in heavyweight. He has dominated almost every hes faced. I was hoping he would be on CBS so people can see what a real heavyweight fights like, but i guess they dont want to show people better than Kimbo yet or else people will want him to fight them right away. You'd think since is a heavyweight championship bout they would actually put it on tv

Imagine Randy Couture vs Tim Sylvia as the undercard.. Im not sure why they did this... other than for Kimbo to save face for now..

    dont know the 2nd fight.

The third fight seems pretty cool. We have a Canadian on the card. Travis Galbriath. Georges St pierre fought and beat him in TKO Canada before he came to the UFC.

you can double check on that calendar though. UFC sometimes is screwy with their times on the calendar.

    so live from 6-9

    then reair from 9-12

  16. thanks.. too bad it's a subscription channel on shaw :(

    [whisper]pssst.. over here.. [/whisper]

you could try TVU player. They usually show live mma stuff. They "borrow" mma signals.

    ;)

watch affliction live and ufc on the replay or record it..

    1 more hour!

Alexander Emelianko (fedors brother on the undercard) will not be fighting. He just got replaced by Gary Goodridge. For some apparent reason he didnt pass the medical..

you'd think he would have had the text a long time ago.

  17. Yup, you pretty much summed up my thoughts on all three topics:P

Sadly I'll be missing both events tomorrow night. My nephew is flying in to visit us, so I'll be at the airport.

Gonna have to settle for watching the UFC re-run :/

ouch! on the best weekend of MMA too.

I guess you could download it and watch the replay the next day. Make Sunday the night of MMA! :D

Also.... I leave for the Vegas tomorrow morning. My buddy and I are gonna go look for the UFC Training Center. Wish us luck and see y'all in four days!!

    See ya! have fun!

Hellz yeah! Less than 28 hrs before I'll be at Affliction. Nothing like a live MMA event at the Pond.

Are you going to the affliction weigh ins today too?

  18. I think that the Affliction promotion is putting all their "eggs" in one basket. I wonder who the will have in their next card. If you are an MMA fan, you hope they can follow it up, but perhaps there will be a drop off. Perhaps thats the reason why they loaded up with heavyweights with name recognition. Great weekend though for MMA. Anything is better than that EliteXC crap that they will show on CBS

yeah seems the same to me. This card is stacked.. but i mean business wise is way too stacked for one show. This is like 4-5 UFC shows in one.

Hopefully they can get more fighters in more divisions. With Trump backing it up it looks a lot better now then it did at first. It looked like they would have 1-2 shows then go bankrupt.. but this is interesting.

So what's up with Ortiz? I heard he wants to start his own company and crap.

Also do any of you guys think Kimbo Slice will ever come to the UFC?

Ortiz is a lot of talk. In the end he said he might come back to the UFC again after all the trash talk. His good friend is Donald Trump (cause he was on the apprentice) so now that Trump is with afflicition, maybe Ortiz will go there.

New York is going to get sanctioned real soon for MMA. When this happens, Afflicition might put on a great show there with how big Trump his there.

I dont think Kimbo will come to the UFC though because he sucks. Once he loses that will be it for him pretty much. You can only go so far with throwing punches. All his opponents so far have been hacks. Elite XC does not want him to lose. If he does Elite XC on CBS takes a huge hit since most of America only knows him and not other well known MMA people.

  19. Well this weekend should be quite the something for MMA fans! :)

The big show for this weekend is Affliction Banned. This show is freaken stacked! Most stacked MMA show ive ever seen. Even the preliminary card is better than most UFC's. You have what people believe is the greatest heavyweight MMA fighter with Fedor Emelianeko fighting the UFC ex champion Tim Sylvia.

If all you watch is UFC and have no idea who he is. Take a look at this. The dude fights like a machine. Trains in the russian boonies with outdated equipment like the old movies. Undefeated. Lets see if Sylvia can do anything. Basically.. i think no haha. If it stays standing Tim can go for the win, but Fedor will get in close, trip him and then ground and pound like there is no tommorow. Or maybe armbar. Nog (current UFC heavyweight champion) beat Sylvia like this, and Fedor crushed Nog.

    Main card

    * WAMMA Heavyweight Championship bout: Flag of Russia Fedor Emelianenko vs. Flag of the United States Tim Sylvia

    * Heavyweight bout: Flag of Belarus Andrei Arlovski vs. Flag of the United States Ben Rothwell

    * Heavyweight bout: Flag of the United States Josh Barnett vs. Flag of Brazil Pedro Rizzo

    * Middleweight bout: Flag of the United States Matt Lindland vs. Flag of Brazil Fabio Negao

    * Light heavyweight bout: Flag of Brazil Renato Sobral vs. Flag of the United States Mike Whitehead

    Preliminary card

    * Heavyweight bout: Flag of Russia Aleksander Emelianenko vs. Flag of the United States Paul Buentello

    * Light heavyweight bout: Flag of Brazil Antonio Rogerio Nogueira vs. Flag of the United States Edwin Dewees

    * Middleweight bout: Flag of Brazil Vitor Belfort vs. Flag of the United States Terry Martin

    * Featherweight bout: Flag of the United States Savant Young vs. Flag of Canada Mark Hominick

    * Welterweight bout: Flag of the United States Mike Pyle vs. Flag of the United States JJ Ambrose

    * Middleweight bout: Flag of the United States Justin Levens vs. Flag of the United States Ray Lizama

Fedor little brother is also fighting. Alexander. I use the term little loosely. Hes 6'6 250  His brother is 6'0 235 and yet somehow is very strong. Bear power or something heh.

The preliminary fights will be shown on Foxsports and TheFightNetwork on bell express vu for free. The main card is on PPV.

So i guess its best to watch Afflicition on ppv

(or on TVU player if they are showing it) heh or download the next day

With Donald Trump now a partner with Afflicition this now changes how big Affliction might get. At first it looked like they would put on a 2 something good shows then fold but now they have some big bucks to back them up.

    ===================

    2h4vlmq.jpg

Then on Saturday at the same time. (to compete) is UFC: Silva vs Irvin for free on Spike tv. What some people consider is the best p4p fighter Anderson Silva (185) is going up in weight to 205 (light heavyweight) to take on James Irvin. I dont think its that big of a deal because Silva walks around at 215.. I think hes actually dropping too much weight to fight at 185.

    Main card

    * Light Heavyweight bout: Flag of Brazil Anderson Silva vs. Flag of the United States James Irvin

    * Lightweight bout: Flag of Brazil Hermes Franca vs. Flag of the United States Frank Edgar

    * Light Heavyweight bout: Flag of the United States Brandon Vera vs. Flag of the United States Reese Andy

    * Welterweight bout: Flag of the United States Anthony Johnson vs. Flag of the United States Kevin Burns

    * Middleweight bout: Flag of the United States Jesse Taylor vs. Flag of the United States C.B. Dollaway

    * Heavyweight bout: Flag of the United States Cain Velasquez vs. Flag of the United States Jake O'Brien

Jesse Taylor (the guy that likes to urinate in his pants on TUF) is getting another shot to fight after he was kicked out from the UFC for threatning Casino staff and destroying a limo in Las Vegas. Vera is fight again after his loss to Werdum but all in all its an ok card. Other than the main fight its ok.

I guess you can record this while watching the other. Or watch the spike replay after Affliction.

    =================

Then on Sunday night (I guess Monday evening its the lightweight Grand Prix!

    s5y4xt.jpg

    Announced matchups

    * Featherweight Bout: Flag of Japan Norifumi "KID" Yamamoto vs. Flag of the United States Joseph Benavidez[1]

    * Featherweight Bout: Flag of Japan Hideo Tokoro vs. Flag of JapanTakeshi Yamazaki[1]

    * Middleweight Bout: Flag of Japan Yoshihiro Akiyama vs. Flag of Japan Katsuyori Shibata[1]

    * Welterweight Bout: Flag of Japan Motoki Miyazawa vs. Flag of Japan Kuniyoshi Hironaka[1]

    * Lightweight Grand Prix Bout: Flag of Japan Shinya Aoki vs. Flag of Japan Caol Uno[1]

    * Lightweight Grand Prix Bout: Flag of the United States Eddie Alvarez vs.Flag of Japan Tatsuya Kawajiri[1]

    * Lightweight Grand Prix Reserve Bout: Flag of Norway Joachim Hansen vs.Flag of Canada Kultar Gill[1]

    * Lightweight Championship bout: Shinya Aoki/Caol Uno vs. Eddie Alvarez/Tatsuya Kawajiri[1]

People believe Kid Yamamoto is one of the best p4p fighters. Hes fights feather weight though. I guess 140?

It should also be noted he has a hot wife.

    2nvqq91.jpg

:D How this will play a factor in the fight I don't know. Has he become so comfortable with getting it on with his wife that hes lost his fighting spirit.. perhaps.. heh but probably not.

So the winner of Aoki/Uno will fight the winner of Alvarez/Kawajiri.

It seems Kultar Gill is a reserve fighter. Does that mean if one of the finals gets hurt after their semi final match and he wins that he gets to fight for the final? haha thats nutty. Like the old UFC's where one guy would win all his matches, get hurt and then some dude from nowhere would fight in the final and win it all.

I dont know too much about all the japnese fighters but here is the japanese commercial for Dream5. It is on HDNET, or..

TVUplayer or torrents the next day.

Its on way to late here in North America. It starts at probably 1am and will go to like 4am. Probably best to down it the next day.

    and.......

If you've never seen MMA from Japan you have to some see their openings!

http://www.dailymotion.com/relevance/searc...ido-13-op_sport <==== really cool opening. They come out like those gladiator movies. One group of fighters on one ramp, the challengers on another ramp. You can skip to 3:15 if you want to see the show actually start.

they are just amazing. They put UFC to shame and make UFC look like a Highschool production. The fighters look like real warriors on their show and the set, the music. the intro videos. Its stunning. Like a movie.

    Check out some other openings

    http://www.dailymotion.com/relevance/searc...-entrance_sport

    and

So even if the fights ends up sucking, atleast there was some pre fight entertainment.
